WATCH: Kamala Harris uses shrewd method to 'avoid' reporters before boarding her plane in Maryland
CAMP SPRINGS, MARYLAND: Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris was seen on Monday, August 2, avoiding a gaggle of reporters who attempted to interview her, as she sported a set of headphones while boarding her plane.
The vice president, who took more than a month to agree to an interview with a major media source following her announcement that she would run for president, was caught on camera boarding her jet as she left Joint Base Andrews in Maryland to campaign across the Midwest.
Journalists can be heard in the video attempting to catch Harris' attention, but the vice president only waved dismissively and fiddled with her headphones as though she was answering a call.

Kamala Harris criticized for 'word salad' responses
This apparent dodge comes as Harris is being severely criticized for her 'word salad' responses in her first liberal media appearance since Joe Biden's withdrawal 40 days ago.
The Democratic nominee spent an hour on television with her running mate, Tim Walz, while in actuality, Dana Bash only questioned her for less than thirty minutes, reports Daily Mail.
Following the prerecorded broadcast from Savannah, Georgia, the liberal commentariat asserted that she had succeeded by abiding by the principle of "do no harm."
However, Harris' detractors claimed that she neglected to address three major campaign-related issues - the border crisis, the soaring cost of inflation, and the Biden health cover-up.
Political experts bashed Kamala Harris over CNN interview
In CNN's post-game analysis, former Obama advisor David Axelrod delivered a harsh judgment, saying that Harris hadn't "moved the ball forward that much."
An unsettling warning was issued by former Bush advisor Scott Jennings, who said that Donald Trump will be "salivating" ahead of their first-ever face-to-face meeting, the presidential debate on September 10.
"A lot of people think Kamala Harris has done well so far in this interview. I disagree – a good debater will find it easy to challenge her," GOP polling guru Frank Luntz echoed that sentiment in a tweet.

Kamala Harris' honeymoon period since taking over from Joe Biden
Since replacing Biden as the presidential candidate, Harris has had a smooth transition thanks in large part to liberal media coverage and surveys that indicate she is gaining ground in swing states where the Democrats were losing ground when Biden was the nominee.
The Harris campaign is now focusing on teh upcoming September 10 presidential debate on ABC.
Internet calls out Kamala Harris for being desperate to avoid questioning
Netizens ridiculed Harris for constantly evading difficult questions, demonstrating their lack of surprise at her strategies.
One X user tweeted, "Headphones and holding the phone up to your ear. When you absolutely have to pretend you're on an important call."
Another added, "She did her one big girl interview, so that’s all we’re going to hear from her until November."

"She's too important to talk to reporters. She doesn't do that sort of thing," mocked one, while someone else wrote, "When you're vice president of the United States, you need to be on the phone a lot. doing her job and campaigning, totally ready to be the President of the United States."
"She has her headphones in and is holding the phone to her ear. Hahaha Maybe she’s listening to her favorite Beyoncé playlist??" added another user.
