HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA: Senior adviser to Donald Trump's campaign Alina Habba attacked Vice President Kamala Harris during her first speech at a rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, July 31, the Daily Mail reported.

Habba has been taking on an increasingly prominent role in the GOP presidential nominee's campaign against Harris, the presumptive Democratic candidate.

Habba, who used to be a prosecutor herself, represented Trump in his $100 million lawsuit against the New York Times and his niece Mary Trump, and also defended him in the NY civil fraud case brought by the attorney general against him and his children earlier this year.

Habba's attack on the latter included a jibe at Harris' "roots", which has become a weapon in the former president's campaign's arsenal, after Trump said at the NABJ conference in Chicago, Illinois, earlier in the day, "(Harris) was always of Indian heritage... I didn't know she was Black until a number of years ago when she turned Black."

Alina Habba attacks Kamala Harris for 'lying' about Joe Biden's health

In her speech, Alina Habba criticized Kamala Harris over her policies, for allegedly covering up the state of President Joe Biden's mental and physical health, as well as for misleading voters about her "roots".

"Now let me tell you what, Kamala – you are committing a crime," Habba said during her debut speech for the Trump campaign at the Farm Show Complex in Pennsylvania. "Because the only co-conspirator I know of the Biden-Harris administration is you. And you have lied to us about President Biden for the last three-and-a-half years."

"Let me just tell you America, her policies are the same ones we've been living for three-and-a-half years. So don't get it twisted, they don't work," she continued. "She is worse than a socialist. She is worse than Bernie Sanders. And guess what, Kamala, you're gonna lose just like he did."

Alina Habba says Kamala Harris does not know her 'roots'

"We are dealing with a Democrat Party that literally can't figure out who they're going to put up against my guy – Donald Trump. So who do they pick? Kamala," she said, before joining the crowd in booing the vice president.

"But I'm so excited because when I spoke at the RNC I didn't know she was the one we were going after. But now I do, and I'm going to speak to you Ms Harris," called out Habba. "I am a strong woman, a mom, a lawyer, and an American. And unlike you, Kamala, I know who my roots are, I know where I come from, and I don't play around with the Constitution."

"I don't care how much money you've got behind you, the truth comes out and President Trump has been and is innocent of every crime other than loving this country," she added.

Internet slams Habba's 'bigoted' criticism of Harris

Alina Habba also intentionally mispronounced her name, calling the vice president "worse than a socialist" and among other barbs.

Trump and the Republicans, have in the past few days, increasingly used her race and roots as a line of attack on the vice president.  Netizens on X (formerly Twitter) were displeased with Alina Habba for attacking Kamala Harris over her roots repeatedly, calling it racist and bigoted.

"Why are they so confused by her ethnic background? This isn’t just weird, it’s gross and bigoted," wrote one social media user.

"What's she even talking about? Kamala is quite clear about her heritage," asked another.

"Never go full racist," warned one person.

"Can't believe they're actually going to make literal racial attacks," observed one more.

"They are doubling down on racism," claimed one individual.

"Are they really doubling down on this ignorant s**t? Yup, they are. Stuups," echoed another.

"Love that the concept of being biracial is breaking so many Republican officials' brains in front of us," one person said.
