MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: At the Republican National Convention, Trump attorney Alina Habba delivered a deeply emotional speech, highlighting her personal connection to the 45th president Donald Trump.
“I know you’re all used to hearing me shouting outside the courthouse,” Habba began, her voice trembling with emotion. “But tonight, I want to take you beyond the law and behind the headlines – and share with you a side of President Trump that reveals his character, his kindness, and his commitment to saving this country.”
Habba recounted a touching moment when a supporter in Manhattan called out, “God bless you and President Trump!” “Little did he know, I was on the phone with the president himself, who immediately asked me to pause, give the man my phone, and spent time speaking to him and thanking him for his support,” she said.
“Despite the lawfare and the politics, President Trump loves the American people, and he loves this country,” Habba said, her eyes welling with tears.
Alina Habba says Donald Trump 'empowered' her
In her speech, Alina Habba also addressed the recent attack on Trump, stating that “every attack” against him only “strengthens” his movement. Donald Trump’s emotional return to the public eye came after the assassination attempt on his life on July 13.
The GOP presidential nominee suffered an injury to his right ear after 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire while he was speaking at a campaign rally. Tragically, one of Trump's supporters, Corey Comperatore, was killed while protecting his family, and two others were critically wounded during the assassination attempt
Habba emphasized how Trump’s support has impacted her both professionally and personally. “President Trump championed my journey, empowering me to become who I am today,” she reflected. “His unwavering support not only shaped my career but has inspired other young women with big dreams," she said.
Alina Habba praises Donald Trump's legacy
Alina Habba praised Donald Trump’s role in her life, noting, “To my husband, whose family members survived the Holocaust, he is a champion for the Jewish faith. To my Iraqi parents, he is a mentor to their daughter. But to me, he is my friend,” she said, her voice breaking with emotion.

She also highlighted the enduring legacy of Trump’s achievements in both business and politics. “For decades, the Trump Organization transformed skylines and created thousands of jobs. His buildings and businesses are a testament to his commitment to excellence and his drive to turn dreams into reality,” Habba said. “But his greatest construction project was yet to come.”
“The left tried to demolish President Trump, but there is no bulldozer big enough or strong enough to remove the legacy that he has built or the future he is creating,” Habba concluded.
