WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump was caught having a serious conversation with First Lady Melania Trump on Marine One on Tuesday, September 23, after a trip to New York for the United Nations General Assembly.

The POTUS and the First Lady visited the UNGA on Tuesday, where the UN was criticized as the escalator and the teleprompter stopped working. Trump also mentioned it in a Truth Social post.

In a clip that went viral on social media, Donald and Melania Trump were filmed on Wednesday night, September 24, as the couple returned from the UN General Assembly in New York.

At one point during their conversation, the POTUS was seen pointing a finger at the First Lady as they continued their discussion seated across from one another.

The clip then ended with the pair getting off Marine One and eventually joining hand-in-hand as they walked across the South Lawn of the White House.

Trump refers to escalator incident as 'absolutely sabotage'

Donald Trump and Melania were at the UN General Assembly, where the POTUS claimed he and the First Lady were victims of “triple sabotage” after a broken escalator could have left them injured.

“A REAL DISGRACE took place at the United Nations yesterday – not one, not two, but three very sinister events!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The President added that given the escalator incident, it was “amazing that Melania and I didn’t fall forward onto the sharp edges of these steel steps, face first. It was only that we were each holding the handrail tightly, or it would have been a disaster.”

Donald Trump echoed White House Press Secretary  Karoline Leavitt, who had cited a report in the Sunday Times that said UN staff had joked about turning off escalators and elevators to prank the POTUS. He referred to the escalator incident as “absolutely sabotage” and said, “The people who did it should be arrested!”

Moreover, the President was furious about the audio quality for his speech. Melania confirmed she couldn’t understand him after the address.

"I was told that the sound was completely off in the auditorium where the speech was made, and world leaders, unless they used the interpreters’ earpieces, couldn’t hear a thing,” Trump said.

A UN official told the Daily Mail that the audio was set up by design. “The sound system was designed to allow people at their seats to hear speeches translated into six different languages through earpieces. It has been like this for decades,” the official said.

Trump also mentioned that the teleprompter went “stone cold dark” as he addressed world leaders.

“I then proceeded to make a speech without a teleprompter, which kicked in about 15 minutes later. The good news is the speech has gotten fantastic reviews. Maybe they appreciated the fact that very few people could have done what I did,” Trump said.
