FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA: Former President Donald Trump's classified documents case attorney Emil Bove blasted the FBI for searching Barron Trump's room that had his Peloton, according to Newsweek.

The 45th president's legal team claimed the August 2022 raid at luxury Mar-a-Lago residence violated Trump's Fourth Amendment rights and deemed it "unnecessary" and "overly broad" during a hearing in Fort Pierce, Florida. The FBI raided Trump's residence in Palm Beach to recover classified documents the ex-president illegally retained after leaving the White House in January 2021.

MSNBC correspondent Katie Phang, who covered the case, disclosed the bizarre argument brought by Trump's attorney Bove.

"An are-you-kidding-me moment in today's MAL classified docs hearing: Emil Bove, the lawyer for Trump, indignantly exclaims to Judge Cannon that while executing the search warrant on Mar-a-Lago, FBI agents searched the room where Barron Trump's Peloton is located," Phang posted on X (formerly Twitter).

The Courthouse News Service reported that the lawyer claimed that the FBI raiding Melania Trump and Barron's room was due to the alleged "broad" nature of the search warrant.

"This was an enormous piece of property. We're not talking about the search for a single-family home or apartment," Bove said on Monday, June 24. "The government has to establish probable cause to search the areas that they've established in [the warrant]."

However, prosecutor David Harbach dismissed the accusations, stating the FBI "didn't go everywhere" and stepped foot where only the warrant permitted. He claimed that since the former president had direct access to his wife's and youngest son's Mar-a-Lago rooms, they included it in the warrant.

"There was some evidence that these boxes moved," Harbac said. "It would have been irresponsible for them not to search there," he added.

Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee, expressed doubt about Trump's team's argument, stating she believed the warrant was "particular enough."

Emil Bove slammed for fussing over FBI searching Barron Trump's Peloton room

Bove slamming the FBI agents searching Barron's Peloton room sparked mockery among netizens.

"OMG grasping at straws," a user wrote. Another remarked, "Perhaps Trump should move the Peleton to his bedroom. He needs the exercise."

A third user quipped, "How could they violate Barron’s Pelaton room! And now Barron Trump is the only teenager I know of with a Peloton. Also, living in a hotel, with a Peloton room."

A fourth response read, "Oh no! The horror! Considering Trump was keeping files in his bathroom why wouldn't you look in literally every room Trump had access to including his son's Peleton room?"

"He’s setting it up for the House to pass a Peloton exception for search warrants. I’m sure they can get it passed quickly . . . No searches in rooms that contain Pelotons," another person joked.

One funny remark read, "Clear breach of peloton-client privilege. Toss the case."

"How dare they search Peloton room! It's not like they found documents in a bathroom! Oh wait..." someone else chimed in.

Another user said, "As if some convicted felon wouldn't choose to hide top secret documents in a room where his son's exercise machine is located. His lawyer is a clown!"
