WASHINGTON, DC: Stephanie Winston Wolkoff has revealed that Melania Trump was not too pleased with the May announcement that said Barron Trump would be one of the 41 at-large delegates from Florida to the Republican National Convention.

But at the time, Donald Trump had shared, as reported by AP, “He’s really been a great student. And he does like politics. It’s sort of funny. He’ll tell me sometimes, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do.’”

Melania Trump against Barron becoming Florida delegate

Soon after the announcement, a statement was, however, released by the former first lady’s office that read, “While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments.”

Now, Wolkoff, former White House aide and close friend of the former first lady, spilled, “Barron's involvement in the Trump political arena is one that I know he and Melania stayed away from for many reasons,” Newsweek reports.

She further stated, “But he being put on the front line that way, if it was going to be the case Melania would have supported it 100 percent vocally.”

The 53-year-old entertainment executive also noted that she was sure Melania “would never allow that, and the fact that it took 24 hours” for her to announce a decision “was surprising".

Internet sides with Melania Trump as she stalls Barron's political debut

Many people have reacted to the revelation as a reader below the Newsweek article commented, “I don't blame her for that. Who would willingly throw their own child in a cesspool.”

The second reader wrote, “Possibly Melania has more sense than the rest of the gang.”

The third one stated, “Let's hope that Baron grows and does better in life than his father. If he had entered politics, he'd be open fodder for everyone. Best that he avoids politics. Good luck to him!”

“Barron knows his convicted felon Pop is a common criminal... you would think that being a delegate would be a chance of a lifetime in a historical election.. what other obligation could the kid have that was more important than this?? he knows what malania knows and that is why she and her son won't stand by his side.. if that is the case why should the country??..” the fourth one stated.

The fifth one added, “Be Best Melania has Bigger Plans for Big Boy Barron!”

An X user tweeted, “Who can blame her? No mother would under the circumstances.”
