Donald and Melania Trump take children’s calls on the NORAD Santa Tracker hotline
The President and the first lady spent time speaking with children who called in through the North American Aerospace Defense Command Santa Tracker, which follows Santa’s journey around the world.
While chatting with young callers, Donald Trump added his own playful commentary. Speaking to children aged four and ten from Oklahoma, he said, “We want to make sure that Santa is being good. Santa’s a very good person."
"We want to make sure that he’s not infiltrated, that we’re not infiltrating into our country a bad Santa.” Seated side by side, Donald and Melania shared the calls. They answered roughly a dozen calls in total.
Trump continued the playful tone even while addressing children from other locations. Reiterating the Santa Tracker’s mission, he said, “We track Santa all over the world. We want to make sure that Santa is being good. Santa is a very good person. We want to make sure that he’s not infiltrating, that we’re not infiltrating into our country a bad Santa.”
The cheerful exchange reflected the festive mood as the holiday tradition once again connected the First Couple with young callers across the country.
