WASHINGTON, DC: In a sprawling interview with Politico on Tuesday, December 9, President Donald Trump launched into an extended, unprompted attack on Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene, even though the question posed to him made no mention of her.
Greene, once among Trump’s most unwavering supporters, criticized him in a dramatic retirement announcement video and has distanced herself from him.
When Politico’s Dasha Burns asked whether he had spent too much of his presidency focused on foreign conflicts, Trump immediately pivoted into a monologue about Greene.
Trump claims Marjorie 'traitor' Greene is a 'low-IQ person'
Trump fired off a barrage of insults, saying, “I’ve watched stupid people like Marjorie Traitor Greene, or some people call her Taylor Greene. Some people call her Taylor Brown because green sometimes turns to brown.”
He accused her of falsely claiming that he prioritizes foreign policy over domestic issues, saying, “When you know people with low IQs, like Marjorie Taylor Greene- she’s a low IQ person-when she says it’s too much, she doesn’t understand.”
The president suggested Greene turned against him because he stopped taking her repeated calls.
“She was loyal until I wasn’t able to answer her phone calls ’cause I’m just too busy. You can’t call me three times a day,” he said, adding that he has to juggle demands from “over 200 congressmen, 53 senators, 212 countries, and a family.”
Trump says he is focused on the United States
Defending his foreign trips, Trump insisted that they consumed little time and delivered enormous gains.
“I made one trip. I brought back trillions of dollars on that one trip,” he claimed, also crediting himself with selling “like 300” Boeing airplanes and resolving global supply-chain threats.
Trump boasted of personally averting a worldwide crisis over rare earth elements, saying he “worked it out with President Xi” in terms that were “very favorable to the United States.”
Trump says his critics don’t understand global leadership
Burns repeatedly attempted to steer the conversation back to policy, at one point reminding Trump, “You went to the Middle East. I was on that trip with you.”
But Trump pressed on, saying that his critics “don’t understand what it takes” to manage global affairs.
Trump closed the tangent by reiterating that Greene lacked the grasp required to evaluate his presidency, “When you think of what I’ve done… she doesn’t get it.”
Trump calls Marjorie Taylor Greene a "traitor." She responds with AIPAC receipts.

Greene on Monday said that she was "America First" after President Donald Trump took a jab at her for her appearance on '60 Minutes'.
Greene said during the '60 Minutes' interview that Republicans were "terrified" of not going along with the POTUS and becoming the subject of an angry Truth Social post.
