Trump mocked for signing executive order to 'protect his beautiful hair' as he ends 'war' on weak showers

WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump has signed a new executive order targeting a curious enemy while announcing his plans to “make America’s showers great again.”
Standing in the Oval Office on Wednesday, March 9, Trump declared an official end to what he calls the “war on water pressure,” promising to change regulations around water flow across the country.

Donald Trump signs executive order to boost shower pressure
“In my case, I like to take a nice shower, take care of my beautiful hair,” Donald Trump said, before adding, “I have to stand under the shower for 15 minutes until it gets wet. It comes out like 'drip, drip, drip'. It's ridiculous.”
The executive order rolls back federal regulations that have capped shower head output since the early ‘90s.
Introduced under former president George HW Bush and later tightened by former president Barack Obama, those rules aimed to cut water waste by limiting flow to 2.5 gallons per minute across all nozzles. Trump wants each nozzle to have that capacity multiplied.

In a statement about Trump’s newest executive order, the White House said, “By restoring shower freedom, President Trump is following through on his commitment to dismantle unnecessary regulations and put Americans first.” The previous rules, it claimed, were part of a “radical green agenda” that ended up making everyday life harder for Americans.
The Trump administration has framed the move as part of its “war on water pressure,” arguing that Americans “pay for their water and should be free to choose their shower heads without federal meddling.”

Trump’s obsession with water pressure isn’t new. According to the BBC, he famously griped that Americans were flushing toilets 15 times and spending 20 minutes trying to get shampoo out of their hair back in 2020.
Trump once joked about his frustrations with low-flow shower heads, saying, “So shower heads - you take a shower, the water doesn't come out. You want to wash your hands, the water doesn't come out. So what do you do? You just stand there longer, or you take a shower longer? Because my hair, I don't know about you, but it has to be perfect. Perfect.”
