WASHINGTON, DC: It looks like Bruce Springsteen just became the latest victim of Donald Trump's signature golf swing meme.

On Wednesday morning, May 21, the president posted a spoof video to his Truth Social account showing him whacking a golf ball that magically cuts to a clip of Springsteen tripping on stage.

A golf ball is edited into the second clip, making it look like Trump nailed The Boss square in the back, Mediaite reported.

The video marks the latest shot fired in what’s become a full-blown feud between Trump and the “Born to Run” rocker.

It all started last week during Springsteen’s Land of Hope and Dreams tour stop in Manchester, England, when he halted his show to slam Trump and his administration in an on-stage rant.

Springsteen told fans that the US is “currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration.”

Bruce Springsteen lets loose in Manchester against Trump administration

Springsteen has long been politically outspoken and was especially vocal during the 2024 race when he backed former VP Kamala Harris.  Last week, the musician blasted Trump’s America with both barrels.

“There’s some very weird, strange, and dangerous s**t going on out there right now,” Springsteen told the crowd. “In America, they are persecuting people for using their right to free speech and voicing their dissent.”

Springsteen continued, “The richest men are taking satisfaction in abandoning the world’s poorest children to sickness and death … they’re taking sadistic pleasure in the pain they inflict on loyal American workers … They are abandoning our great allies and siding with dictators against those struggling for their freedom.”

He also slammed lawmakers for not stepping up to “protect the American people from the abuses of an unfit president and a rogue government.”

Trump fires back and calls for investigation

Trump, of course, wasn’t going to stay silent after that. The commander-in-chief took to Truth Social with a scathing response to Springsteen’s on-stage speech.

"Sleepy Joe didn't have a clue as to what he was doing, but Springsteen is 'dumb as a rock,' and couldn't see what was going on, or could he (which is even worse!)?"

Trump wrote. "This dried-out 'prune' of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that's just 'standard fare.' Then we'll all see how it goes for him!"

“Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country," he added.

But Trump didn’t stop there. On Monday, he even demanded a “major investigation” into Springsteen and others who publicly supported Kamala Harris during the 2024 election.

The White House didn’t hold back either. In an email to NBC News, spokesperson Steven Cheung roasted Springsteen with a medley of his own song titles.

“When this loser Springsteen comes back home to his own City of Ruins in his head, he’ll realize his Glory Days are behind him and his fans have left him Out in the Street, putting him in a Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out because he has a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted his brain," Cheung wrote.

Springsteen, for the record, had performed at a Harris campaign rally in Georgia just last fall.

Trump's history of golf memes

As for Trump, this isn’t his first rodeo with his signature golf ball meme.

In October 2023, he posted another clip showing him hitting a golf ball that “flies” across the globe and smacks Joe Biden in the head during an event — making him stumble. Trump captioned it, “ANOTHER GREAT SHOT!”

In 2022, he shared a clip appearing to knock Biden off a bike with a golf ball.

And in 2017, during his first term in office, Trump posted a similar video that had him smacking his 2016 rival Hillary Clinton with a golf ball.
