ALLENTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA: GOP nominee Donald Trump asked his supporters to forgive incumbent Democratic president Joe Biden for referring to them as "garbage," while speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, October 29.

Biden's comments came after Trump's Sunday rally at the Madison Square Garden, where comedian Tony Hinchcliffe compared Puerto Rico to a floating island of "garbage" in the "middle of the ocean."

During a get-out-the-vote call for Voto Latino, Biden reacted to the comment, saying, "The only garbage I see floating out there is his (Trump's) supporters. His, his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and it’s un-American. It’s totally contrary to everything we’ve done, everything we’ve been."

Donald Trump's message for his supporters

Donald Trump addressed the issue at his Pennsylvania rally, referencing former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's "deplorable" remark against his supporters ahead of the 2016 election, reported Fox News.

"That didn't work out," he said, before slamming Biden. "Garbage, I think, is worse."

"But he doesn't know. You have to please forgive him," continued the former president, before quoting Jesus. "Please forgive him, for he not knoweth what he said."

"Terrible to say a thing like that, but he doesn't know. He really honestly, he doesn't. And I'm convinced that he likes me more than he likes Kamala. But that's a terrible thing," he later added.

"Sometimes, choosing unity over division says more about strength than words ever will," expressed a fourth.

"Give me a f******g break. He’s such a pathetic con artist," jibed a fifth.

"Trump is trying his level best," quipped a sixth user.

"Sounded like he was being sarcastic. Lol," claimed yet another.
