Trump says Dems 'destroying' Charlotte after another illegal migrant allegedly stabs man on train
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA: President Donald Trump put Democratic leaders on blast on Saturday, December 5, accusing them of “destroying” major American cities and pointing to Charlotte as Exhibit A.
Trump unleashed his fury just hours after cops slapped charges on a previously-deported illegal immigrant accused of stabbing a man aboard a Charlotte train on Friday night.
The suspect, 33-year-old Oscar Solarzano, had already been kicked out of the United States before he sneaked back and went on to allegedly carry out the attack, according to court documents reported by NBC affiliate WCNC 36.
Trump posted on Truth Social, "Another stabbing by an Illegal Migrant in Charlotte, North Carolina. What’s going on in Charlotte? Democrats are destroying it, like everything else, piece by piece!!! President DJT."

Suspect with long rap sheet charged after train attack
According to WCNC, court records show Solarzano was intoxicated on board the light rail, taunting the victim to fight while shouting at other passengers. His listed address matched the Roof Above shelter, and court officials noted that no bond was set because he is in the country illegally and “has been deported previously.”
Around 4.50 pm on Friday, police raced to an emergency call for an “assault with a deadly weapon.” Officers found the victim bleeding from a stab wound and rushed them to a nearby hospital. By Friday night, the victim was listed in “critical but stable condition,” police told Newsweek.

On Saturday, cops officially pegged Solarzano as their suspect. He was quickly nabbed and is now remanded to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
The charges against him include attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon, serious injury, carrying a concealed weapon, and more. The arrest warrant reportedly said Solarzano had a "large, fixed blade knife" and "inflicted serious injury."
The same warrant added that Solarzano challenged the victim to fight, was "unintelligible," spoke in "slurred" words, and is charged with being "intoxicated and disruptive."
Charlotte was already on edge after murder of Ukrainian refugee
This isn’t Charlotte’s first brush with a brutal public killing.
In August, the city was rocked by the savage murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, who was stabbed to death on a train in a horrifying attack caught on security footage.
Trump called the murderer an “animal.” He said the man responsible, career criminal Decarlos Brown Jr, should face the ultimate punishment.
Brown’s rap sheet includes 14 arrests before the murder, including charges for robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault. He now faces first-degree murder charges, though a trial date hasn’t been set.
I have confirmed that Decarlos Brown Jr. was released on NO CASH BAIL in January of 2025, despite being diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Immigration crackdowns heat up as Trump promises massive deportations
Solarzano’s immigration status has only added more fuel to the Trump administration's immigration crackdown. Federal agents launched Operation Charlotte’s Web in mid-November, a sweeping crackdown that drew some protests from residents, left-wing city officials, and even kids who skipped school over fears of ICE raids.
Charlotte wasn’t alone. Similar Trump administration operations rolled out in Los Angeles and Chicago last month, greeted by anti-ICE demonstrators accusing the government of fearmongering.
Trump, meanwhile, is doubling down on his law-and-order campaign. He has pledged to unleash the largest mass deportation operation in US history, framing illegal immigration as a national emergency.
