WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump on Monday, April 6, unloaded on Iran’s leadership and said it was “impossible” to trust a regime he labeled outright as “bulls**t artists.”

The blunt remarks came during a White House press conference marking the successful rescue of a US airman after his F-15 was shot down by Iranian forces.

Donald Trump calls Iranian regime 'bulls**t artists'

Trump painted a picture of a hollowed-out Iranian military while voicing his distrust of the regime.

“We’ve knocked out their Navy,” Trump said of Iran’s fleet. “We’ve knocked out their Air Force — completely — knocked out 158 ships in three days! We knocked out even their mine droppers. They don’t have any mine droppers anymore. But they got them on other boats, and they could drop them.”

Even as he detailed the scale of destruction, Trump suggested Iran’s claims might be more fiction than fact.

"I’m not even sure they have any mines there, by the way. I’m not sure. Personally, if they say there might be eight, I don’t know, I don’t know. I think there might be none because they’re very good bulls**t artists. That is why for 47 years they’ve been bulls**tting other presidents, and they haven’t done the job, and people are living in hell," he continued.

Trump described life inside Iran in stark terms while arguing the regime has run out of both credibility and capability.

"You live in that country, they’re living in hell. No, I think that 47 years of this stuff is long enough. And they’re at the weakest point they’ve ever been. They have no Navy. They have no air force. They have no anti-aircraft weaponry. They have no radar. They have no communication," he added.

Donald Trump uncertain when the war will end

Despite the tough talk, Trump was notably uncertain when pressed on whether the conflict with Iran was nearing its end or about to intensify.

With a self-imposed Tuesday 8 pm EDT deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz looming, the president declined to tip his hand.

“I can’t tell you, I don’t know. I can’t tell you. Depends what they do,” Trump said when asked whether he is winding down the war or ramping it up as he has previously suggested, referring to his threat to bomb bridges and power plants. “This is a critical period. They have a period of, well, until tomorrow at 8 o’clock.”

That ambiguity hung over the briefing alongside Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine, as well as CIA Director John Ratcliffe, who were gathered to highlight the successful recovery of two US airmen from deep inside Iranian territory.

High-stakes rescue mission, Donald Trump's unhinged warning

The administration leaned heavily into the high-stakes nature of the rescue mission. Trump offered a dramatic retelling of how US forces pulled it off.

“In a breathtaking show of skill and precision, lethality and force, America’s military descended on the area— the real area— engaged the enemy, rescued the stranded officer, destroyed all threats, and exited Iranian territory while taking no casualties of any kind,” he said.

Officials described a large-scale operation that relied on deception tactics to misdirect Iranian forces while locating and extracting the stranded service members.

The high-profile rescue, however, comes as public skepticism grows over the ongoing US operation in Iran.

A day earlier, the president had taken to Truth Social with an even more unhinged ultimatum, referring to the regime as “crazy b******s."

Trump wrote, “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F****n’ Strait, you crazy b******s, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”
