'Trump will win': Megyn Kelly predicts 2024 election as she challenges Joe Biden's immigration policies
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent episode of 'The Megyn Kelly Show', host Megyn Kelly voiced her concerns about President Joe Biden's immigration policies, stating, "If nothing changes, Trump will win the election in November."
According to Daily Mail, Kelly criticized both Trump and Biden for not passing immigration reforms, dismissing the idea that migrants are primarily asylum seekers, and questioning the effectiveness of the current asylum processing plan.
Megyn Kelly challenges immigration narratives and questions government approach
Kelly argued, "Most asylum seekers do not apply for asylum. It is a lie! They could have applied for asylum in Mexico. They went right through Mexico because they wanted to be here."
She further highlighted the desire of migrants to enjoy the benefits of American citizenship without assimilating, raising doubts about the government's approach.
The discussion also revolved around a recent poll indicating Trump's lead over Biden on crucial issues.
Kelly emphasized that Trump's competence and effectiveness as a leader have surged ahead, stating, "In June 2020, Trump trailed Biden, 77.9 percent to 81, in this category. But a new NBC News poll released on Sunday shows that the former president now has a 16-point lead: 48 percent to 32 percent."
Kelly challenges immigration policies and warns against concentrated power
Expressing skepticism about the current immigration plan, Kelly criticized Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, cautioning against granting him too much power.
She argued, "Those people need to be processed, and we need to find out who really needs our help and shares our values. But we don’t do any of that. And now they want to give Mayorkas a magic wand to say, ‘I consider you asylum seekers.’ Welcome to America! That’s not how it works."
Questioning Nikki Haley's strategy on 'Saturday Night Live' appearance
Kelly also turned her attention to Nikki Haley, Trump's sole rival for the GOP nomination, criticizing her appearance on 'Saturday Night Live'.
Kelly questioned the strategic value of Haley's decision, remarking, "I have serious questions about whether this is a good idea. What’s next? 'The Daily Show'? What about 'Scarborough'? Tiptoe through those tulips. Rachel Maddow? Joy Reid? Why doesn’t she go to her show? I do not understand."
As the 2024 general election season approaches, the poll results suggest a potential rematch between Trump and Biden.
However, the article also emphasizes the fluid nature of political landscapes, and the conventions in July and August will officially determine the matchups for the upcoming election.
The release of the NBC News poll coincided with Biden's victory in the Democratic primary in South Carolina, adding another layer to the unfolding political dynamics.
