Trump’s disappearance on 24th reignites conspiracy theories over his recurring hand bruise
WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump's disappearance on Friday, October 24, has reignited conspiracy theories about his recurring hand bruise, after internet users noticed a pattern around that date.
In recent months, Trump has been seen with a prominent bruise on his right hand. His staff has repeatedly declined to explain the cause of the discoloration.
Internet observes Donald Trump goes missing on 24th of every month
Donald Trump was absent from public view on Friday, which triggered online speculation about his health. Observers pointed out a curious coincidence: the President seems to disappear around the 24th of each month.
According to his public schedule, the POTUS had an out-of-town pool call at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland at 9:35 PM before departing for a trip to Asia, starting in Malaysia.
Some internet users noticed that the bruise on Trump’s right hand appears and fades around the same dates each month.
I glanced at a bunch of news articles about the recurring bruise on the back of Trump's right hand (which people have noticed since 2024) and they are oddly clustered around the 24th of the month. That suggests he's getting an infusion every month. https://t.co/iBNbQ10RvU

An X user @ChrisCroy mentioned a few months ago that they had been monitoring the bruise since February 24, 2025, when the POTUS hosted French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House, and had a large, unsightly bruise on his hand.
"I glanced at a bunch of news articles about the recurring bruise on the back of Trump's right hand (which people have noticed since 2024) and they are oddly clustered around the 24th of the month. That suggests he's getting an infusion every month," the X user mentioned in the post.
Meanwhile, other X users agreed with this and shared their own supporting details to the speculation that Trump withdraws once every month for an infusion.
Trump is getting a monthly blood infusion, between the 20th and 24th. Notice how he gets super slurry the closer to these dates.

X user @YourAnonCentral posted, "Trump is getting a monthly blood infusion, between the 20th and 24th. Notice how he gets super slurry the closer to these dates."
Interestingly, in September, the POTUS added more grist to the speculation as he remained out of public view. He had no scheduled public appearance on September 24, and internet users noted that he also took an unusually long time to respond to the shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, Texas.
Doctor says bruises on Trump’s hand could be from an IV drip
Dr Gareth Nye, a lecturer at the University of Salford, told The Daily Star that Trump’s hand bruises could be caused by an IV drip, as the marks resemble those left by needle insertions.
IV drips, often administered over two to four hours, have become a common wellness trend among celebrities.
Adding context, Donald Trump's granddaughter, Kai Trump, suggested that POTUS' bruises aren't a recent issue.
She posted a photo with her grandfather on Wednesday, October 22, in celebration of the first anniversary of returning to her YouTube channel.
"One year ago, I started my YouTube channel not knowing what to expect… and it’s turned into something so special," she posted on Instagram.
The 16-slide carousel included a photo of her and the POTUS that she first posted on election night last year. However, it showed that Trump's hand was covered in the discolored makeup that's been a staple of his for months.
In his October medical report, Trump’s physician, Dr Sean Barbabella wrote, “President Donald J. Trump remains in exceptional health, exhibiting strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance."
