WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump’s hair became a social media buzz this week. Photos and videos appeared to show a pinkish tint on top, quickly setting off a wave of jokes, theories, and wild speculation online.

President Trump addressed House GOP members at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, outlining the party’s strategy for the upcoming midterm elections.

Among other topics, the color of Trump’s hair drew significant attention, with some speculating that he may have dyed it pink.

Images circulated on social media showing President Donald Trump with a subtle but noticeable pinkish hue in his hair under certain lighting.

Observers on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram reacted with humor and bewilderment, with many joking outright. “Orange guy debuts new pink hair. Like most things he does, it clashes horribly with the American flag,” wrote one user.

One post shared alongside a close-up image commented that Trump’s hair appeared more rose-toned than usual, sparking thread after thread debating whether the change was intentional, merely a trick of the light, or simply another ripe subject for memes and satire.

One user asked bluntly, “Why does Trump have pink hair???”

“Trump has an orange face and pink hair. Just watching the address on Sky News,” wrote another.

“Jan 6th happened … is a blight on this country … and Donald Trump’s hair looks pink today,” noted one.

“Trump speaking to House Republicans today. You would think this was a Saturday Night Live skit. 🤯. He's quite bronze today and has pink-toned hair,” added one.

Trump’s hair controversies resurface amid pink tint buzz

People have fixated on the president’s hair before. Michael Wolff, who wrote a biography of Donald Trump and hosts the 'Inside Trump’s Head' podcast, once told The Daily Beast that Trump styles his hair specifically to attract as much attention as possible.

“He looks that way because he thinks that’s an effective way to look,” he said on 'The Daily Beast' podcast in June. However, it is likely that red lighting reflected off the president’s blond hair, making it appear pinkish.

Trump kicked off his first public event of the year by focusing on Republican concerns about the 2026 midterm elections. Speaking to a room of about 70 GOP lawmakers, he warned that if Republicans lose control of the House, impeachment would likely follow.

His remarks sparked controversy after reports suggested he hinted at canceling the midterms. Trump later clarified that he would not raise such an idea, saying the media would brand him a “dictator.”

He framed the comments while accusing Democrats of planning impeachment should Republicans lose control.
