Tagovailoa's impressive display of musical ability highlights his diverse skill set and adds to his already impressive reputation as a talented athlete.

What happened when Tagovailoa played ‘Tears in Heaven’ on guitar?

Tagovailoa appeared on ESPN's 'ManningCast' on Monday night, December 4, and demonstrated his guitar skills with a rendition of Eric Clapton's ‘Tears in Heaven.’

The 'ManningCast,' hosted by former NFL quarterback greats and real-life brothers Peyton and Eli Manning, is currently in its third season, bringing their own spin, analysis, and commentary on 'Monday Night Football' games.

“I can play maybe 'Tears in Heaven' (by) Eric Clapton,” Tagovailoa revealed on the show.

“Let's go, let's hear it,” Peyton said.

Tagovailoa's immaculate execution of the signature chord pattern wowed the Mannings right away.

As Peyton sang his commentary to Clapton's melody, Tagovailoa continued to play soothingly.

“The Bengals jumped offsides,” Peyton sang. “I got this, I got this.”

“Please no,” his co-host and brother, Eli responded. “No one wants to hear you sing.”

Peyton urged Tagovailoa to keep playing while he sang amusingly. Eli and Tagovailoa both laughed as he sang, and the latter soon stopped playing his guitar.

“You guys are hilarious,” Tagovailoa remarked as the Mannings commended his performance on the show.

When Eli asked him why he did not sing along with his guitar playing, Tagovailoa replied “That's why we had Peyton.”

Following his impressive performance in leading the Miami Dolphins to a 45-15 victory over the Washington Commanders on Sunday, December 3, Tua Tagovailoa is taking a well-deserved break in a music room.
