The incident has left Swinton's family and community in mourning. Described by his grieving family as a "great, loving man," Swinton was not only a talented chef but also someone who found joy in simple pleasures like fishing.
Speaking with a heavy heart over the phone, Swinton's mother expressed her deep sorrow by saying, "He was a good one," before adding, "He was a good son, I miss him. I know that."
His older brother, Robert, 65, highlighted Swinton's family-oriented nature, revealing that he leaves behind three children. Sharing memories of their time together, Robert emphasized, "He was a great, loving man, a fabulous guy. He was a beautiful man with a loving family," as per the New York Post.
The motive behind this heinous crime remains unclear, with authorities unable to determine what led to the targeted attack on Swinton. As of now no, arrests have been made.
NYC teen Maurice Stewart wanted for fatally shooting innocent bystander
BRONX, NEW YORK: In an unrelated incident, the NYPD is currently seeking a teenager they suspect to be responsible for a fatal shooting on the subway. The shooting, stemming from a gang dispute, resulted in the death of an uninvolved individual and injuries to several others.
On February 12, during rush hour, a confrontation unfolded at Mount Eden station in The Bronx, leading to the firing of at least 10 shots between two groups of teenagers on a northbound 4 train around 4:40 pm.
Witnesses recounted the chaotic scene as the train pulled into the station, with at least one person brandishing a firearm and opening fire as the doors swung open, reported MEAWW.
Authorities believe that Maurice Stewart, 15, is the individual responsible for the gunshots that killed Obed Beltran-Sanchez, a 34-year-old victim who succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
Among those injured in the incident were a 14-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy, a 29-year-old woman, and two men aged 71 and 28, respectively.
