'I'm embracing my age': Vanessa Williams, 61, says she won't resort to cosmetic procedures to look young
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Embracing aging with confidence, Vanessa Williams, the 61-year-old 'Ugly Betty' actress, has now stated that she will not resort to Botox, fillers, or facelifts to appear younger.
"We were literally just talking about fillers, Botox, who's had work, who hasn't done work," she told People.
What is Vanessa Williams best known for?
According to Hollywood Walk of Fame, Vanessa Lynn Williams is a renowned American singer and actress, well know for making history as the first African-American woman to be crowned Miss America in 1984.
However, she had to give up her title prematurely due to a scandal. In a recent Instagram post she "reflecting on how her life changed after she became the first Black woman to be crowned in 1984".
Williams made a remarkable comeback by establishing a successful career in entertainment, garnering nominations for Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Awards.
"I have not gotten any... I don't do fillers, I don't do Botox anymore. I haven't had a facelift, I do micro-current and nano-current technology, which is amazing," she told the outlet.
The former Miss America also mentioned that she isn't interested in more intense anti-aging procedures: "I want to look like myself. I want people to know this face has lived. That's kind of where I am at at this point, at 61."
Williams also conveyed that she actively manages her health using bio-identical hormones (testosterone, progesterone, and estrogen), sublingual drops for liver, kidney, and adrenal health, and stem cell drops.
Additionally, she stays fit through kickboxing, weightlifting, cycling, and swimming, doing whatever it takes to stay healthy and alive.

The 'Desperate Housewives' star revealead she finds inspiration in women who have aged naturally and gracefully.
"I look at Diane von Furstenberg, I just watched her doc. She was talking about embracing the wisdom and the age that you are," Williams told the outlet.
"Yeah, there's some wrinkles, but that's because I have sat out in the sun for too long," she explained.
"But I love the sun, dammit! If the sun is out, I will sit out in the sun and do my crossword and have a nice glass of wine. If that shows on my décolleté, too bad. I'm embracing my age."
As for Williams' cosmetic surgery, when asked about getting a facelift, she replied, "No, no, no, no, no, not yet," and added, "I don’t do fillers."
As per Page Six, she stated that surgery would be "the very last" thing she'd try.
The New York Post reported Williams revealing that a key component of her beauty routine is "knowing where to get good Botox" because she doesn't want to "look like someone else".
“The technology now for lifting, sculpting, tightening, is incredible. And there’s a machine for anything,” continuing, “I just got a microcurrent thing for your neck, it was called Forma and it’s like a total package facial.”
