Victoria Beckham almost married her lesser-known first fiance whose name she adopted before David Beckham
LONDON, ENGLAND: Victoria and David Beckham have been married for 25 years, but before David, Victoria (also known as Posh) had a significant relationship that deeply impacted her. She was so in love with her ex-fiance that she even adopted his surname.
The couple shared Victoria's parents' £400k home in Hertfordshire during their relationship
Showbiz's most attractive couple celebrated their 25 years of marriage on Thursday, July 4, by donning their signature purple attire.
However, the former Spice Girl, 50, was engaged to electrician Mark Wood, a burglar alarm installer for her father's electronics supply company, before marrying the retired footballer, per Daily Mail.

Victoria Beckham's first fiance Mark Wood lived in her parents' £400k Hertfordshire home
After meeting Mark Wood at St Mary's High in Cheshunt when she was just 14 years old, Victoria Beckham and her first fiancé lived together in her parents' opulent £400,000 property in Goff's Oak, Hertfordshire.
In 1994, when Victoria was just 20 years old and had recently auditioned for the 'Spice Girls,' her fiance, the almost-Mr Posh Spice, proposed.
Despite never getting married, Victoria started going by Victoria Adams Wood, and the band even used her name on some of their early merchandise.
The couple separated in 1996, having spent a total of six years together.
Mark was left heartbroken when Victoria ended their six-year relationship just as the band was starting to gain momentum. "It wasn't the right person for me, I wasn't enjoying myself, so that had to end," Posh stated to Channel 4.
She added, "But I didn't give him the ring back either! I've still got it because it was a wicked ring. Isn't that horrible? It makes me sound really materialistic," per The Mirror.
She has previously stated in her 2002 ITV documentary 'Being Victoria,' "For some reason we got engaged. He was an alarm engineer. If only he'd stayed in the cupboard that I met him in at my mum's house."
According to reports, Mark was offended by the remark and later retaliated by revealing details about their sex life in a 2004 Channel 5 show titled 'Victoria Beckham's Secrets.'
A representative for Channel 5 declared at the time, "As they always say, revenge is a dish best-served cold."
"Mark has never spoken before in public about his relationship with Victoria but feels it is time to set the record straight. Mark was quite hurt by what she said and doesn't intend to spare Victoria's blushes."
Victoria Beckham met David Beckham in 1997
In 1997, Victoria met David Beckham in the Manchester United player's lounge. And 10 months later, they made their own engagement announcement on the steps of a Cheshire hotel.
Posh, who was 23 at the time, chuckled awkwardly as she displayed her £65,000 diamond solitaire, crafted by Manchester jewelers Boodle and Dunthorne.
She told the media, "I am the happiest girl in the world today. I'm with the man I know I'm going to grow old and wrinkly with."
They were married in July 1999 in a lavish ceremony that reportedly cost £800,000 and featured daring outfits from both of them.
They share four more children: Harper, 12, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Brooklyn, 25.
Their wedding took place right after Victoria's triple crown with the Spice Girls and David's championship with Manchester United. David had won a treble with Manchester United, and Victoria had become a global celebrity with the Spice Girls when they were married.
Toasting their 25th anniversary on Thursday, July 4, they began their special day at the Michelin-starred Core restaurant in Notting Hill with a £510 bottle of 1993 Dom Perignon champagne for breakfast.
