LONDON, ENGLAND: Victoria Beckham is reportedly distressed by her son Romeo's separation from his model girlfriend Mia Regan, and the impact it has had on their family, thwarting aspirations of a celebrity dynasty akin to the Kardashian family's billionaire status.

Romeo Beckham, the 21-year-old son of Victoria and David Beckham, shared with his fans and followers that he recently ended his five-year relationship with the 21-year-old model.

Fashion designer Victoria, 49, and model Mia appeared to get along well. While Victoria is saddened by the end of Romeo and Mia's relationship, she had hopes that Mia would become an integral part of the family brand.

The model, who was rumored to admire Victoria, was allegedly photographed on a beach wearing a bikini with the word "Posh" written across her buttocks. Additionally, the two collaborated on fashion designs together.

Former Spice Girl Victoria reportedly wants to build Brand Beckham into a multibillion-pound empire akin to the Kardashians. "Victoria was a huge fan of Mia and hoped the pair might end up getting married," a source told The Sun.

"She’s been known to want to create a big celebrity family like the Kardashians. That looks unlikely — for now, anyway. She can’t control what goes on with her kids — as much as she’d like to," the source added.

Victoria takes pride in closely overseeing her children's upbringing, but rumors suggest she fears losing control of her household following Romeo's breakup with Mia and her strained relationship with daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz.

The couple, who started dating in 2019, posted statements to their individual Instagram accounts depicting the breakup as "amicable."

The former couple began their relationship in 2019 at the age of 16, but they didn't make their first public appearance together until two years later at a Wimbledon tournament.

They made their red carpet debut as a couple in November 2021. Mia claimed to Vogue at the time that Victoria Beckham had calmed her down before the big event.

During her time with Victoria and the second-oldest son of David Beckham, the model formed a particularly close bond with Posh. Their official collaboration took place in 2022 when they introduced a six-piece denim capsule for Victoria's brand.

Affectionately using Mia’s nickname "Mooch," Romeo declared on February 25 that the pair had "parted ways after 5 years of love."

Romeo wrote, "Mooch and I have parted ways after 5 years of love," over a selfie where he and Mia were showered with affection. "We still have a lot of love and respect for each other, and still hold a strong friendship and always will 🤍🤍."

"This is ro, we have grown up with each other since we were 16!! Love takes different forms & paths as you mature," Mia wrote with the selfie she posted on her Story with Romeo, per People.

Mia acknowledged that they are no longer "romantically" together, but they still "share lots & lots of love for one another… after 5 years we friendzoned each other heheh ❤️❤️❤️. [sic] 

Romeo and Mia reportedly briefly parted ways in July 2022 due to their geographical separation. However, they rekindled their romance on Instagram five months later when they posted a photo together.

"Everyone in the family loves Mia, but she and Romeo just grew apart," an insider claimed to The Sun. "It was their first real love and it is sometimes hard to accept when that comes to an end."

"Mia has her own career and works hard, making her own way. She flies off around the world a lot for her modeling, and Romeo has his football here and his family," the source added.

"They adore each other but have realized they have reached the end of the road. It is emotional for both families as Mia’s family also love [sic] Romeo — he is a sweet, kind kid. And Mia has always got on really well with ­Victoria and continues to do so," the source concluded.
