The gap seems to have grown wider after Brooklyn posted a cryptic message on Instagram, saying he’d “always choose” his wife, Nicola Peltz.

A source close to the Peltz family told People that tensions erupted after Victoria, 51, allegedly hijacked the first dance at Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding in Palm Beach, Florida. This moment reportedly left Nicola feeling hurt.
“Marc Anthony, who is a friend of the Beckhams, offered to perform as a gift at the wedding,” a source told People.
“Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, ‘The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up...Victoria Beckham!’” the source shared.
The source claimed that Nicola “felt that Victoria ruined her wedding, and couldn’t understand why.”
“The entire room was so shocked," the source said, adding a "complete silence followed."
The source added it was a "jaw-dropping moment" and left the room in "absolute shock — you could hear a pin drop.”
The surprise continued when Victoria and Brooklyn shared a slow dance in front of guests.

"It wasn’t appropriate,” the source said, adding that everyone then saw “Nicola run from the room crying.”
“Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose, when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola..." the source noted.
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz face ongoing family rift
Another source familiar with the situation said that this wasn’t the first sign of tension.
“They’ve tried to make peace, but every time they finally have a happy moment, it all falls apart again,” the source explained.
The insider added, “Brooklyn feels torn. It’s his family and blood, but he’s always had a complicated relationship with his dad. A lot of their relationship has felt like ‘business.’”
Brooklyn and Nicola, who now live in Los Angeles, didn’t attend David’s early 50th birthday celebrations in March.

The rift became public after that. A source told Page Six that Brooklyn “didn’t reach out” to David and Victoria Beckham when he was in West London for a fashion photo shoot earlier this month.
“It’s becoming increasingly clear how strained things are behind the scenes,” a source told Page Six. “It’s sad, really. David and Victoria didn’t even know Brooklyn was in London.”
Brooklyn reportedly “quickly” flew in and out of London for the shoot and “didn’t reach out” to his parents.
The source said, “David and Victoria always turn up for Brooklyn and Nicola, whether it’s for the launch of his hot sauce brand or her movie premiere. This is just very sad.”
The source concluded, “Brooklyn’s family adores him and will always be there for him. They just can’t deal with this nonsense anymore.”
