LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Justin Bieber once emotionally claimed in an interview that he wanted to protect the then-teenaged Billie Eilish from the music industry in a video that has resurfaced online.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ recent arrest on racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges has facilitated the resurfacing of several old footage from celebrity interviews hinting at the unappealing side of the music industry.

One such resurfaced video is the 30-year-old ‘Baby’ singer’s 2020 interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe before the release of his album ‘Changes’, where he admitted that he wanted to protect the two-time Oscar winner.

Justin Bieber said he wanted to protect Billie Eilish

Bieber, who joined Diddy's protegee Usher’s record label in 2008 after receiving astronomical success as a 14-year-old, shared his own experiences to Lowe.

A tearful Bieber said to Lowe, “It was hard for me being that young and being in the industry and not knowing where to turn, and everyone telling me they loved me, and turn their back on you in a second," per New York Post.

Speaking of Eilish, who was just 18 at the time of the interview, Bieber said, “I just want to protect her.”

“I don’t want her to go through anything I went through,” said the ‘Beauty and a Beat’ hitmaker, before admitting heartbreakingly, “I don’t wish that upon anybody.”

Eilish too became an overnight sensation like Bieber when she was just a young teen in 2015.

During his interview, Bieber opened up about his personal struggles and said that at some points “It was bad … it was dark.”

He explained, “Think about how young I was and so impressionable and you have everybody telling me how awesome I am at all times.”

“I just want people to understand the psychology of why I potentially could have problems in my life,” said the ‘Sorry’ singer.

He confessed that he has been “living in this shame” with “all this sort of stuff with my past,” before admitting that he hoped he could be “a good example” for her.

“If she ever needs me I’m gonna be here for her. I’m just a call away,” shared Bieber.

However, the singer did not mention Diddy’s name in the interview, but several fans of Bieber have concluded that he might be alluding to Diddy.

Amid the controversies surrounding Diddy, another video of Bieber’s exchange with Diddy has disturbed the netizens.

In the video, a 15-year-old Bieber was having a conversation with Diddy where the ‘Coming Home’ rapper said, “He’s having 48 hours with Diddy, where we hanging out and what we’re doing we can’t really disclose.”

The music mogul added, “But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream.”

The Bad Boy Records founder claimed, “I have been given custody of him,” before adding, “He’s signed to Usher and I had legal guardianship of Usher when he did his first album.”

“I don’t have legal guardianship of him [Bieber] but for the next 48 hours he’s with me, and we’re gonna go full crazy,” added the music producer.

Internet reacts to Justin Bieber's emotional plight

The internet, which was previously left seething at Sean 'Diddy' Combs, was left flustered once again as the emotional video of Justin Bieber resurfaced. Not only did they seek retribution for the perpetrators, but the fans also wanted Bieber to have peace.

One of the social media users said, "His mother left him with diddy for several weeks when he was a young teen. Usher, also mentored by Diddy, has mentioned he saw things a young man should not see age-wise, but didn't go into detail. Not a Bieber fan, but I feel compassion for his mental struggles as a result of it."

Someone else added, "I just saw this video on a podcast. It is really heart breaking. He really did and does want to protect Billie because he knows the dark side of the industy. I feel for him. Stay strong Justin."

"Show this young man, grace, kindness, and compassion. He was just a child when horrible things happened to him," noted another user.

Someone else noted, "Bro knows so much and went through a lot at a young age. Super talented man, hope he gets the help he needs. 🙏."

"Bruh this is soooo bad. Everyone needs to speak up but they can't because they have video of them I'm sure," claimed another social media user.

"What did they do to this guy?" asked another user.

Someone else said, "That’s a wild twist! It’s interesting how the industry dynamics shift and how artists look out for each other. What do you think about it?"

Meanwhile, a disgruntled fan admitted, "This makes me so angry, where were his parents? I’m happy Diddy will probably spend the rest of his life in prison but there’s many more. I hope he can peace w his wife, new baby and his faith."

"What a sin this poor soul. Why does our perverted society protect and over look the evil elite? We need the names of all of the evil ones who walk among us! What sort of healthy society refuses to protect the most vulnerable and innocent?" observed another fan.
