Holmes insisted that they weren't adulterers, as their divorces were already underway by the time they were "outed" as a couple.
However, Robach recalled the time when Holmes was sending her texts in the past tense, forcing her to do a "welfare check" on him.
All of his messages were in past tense as he told Amy about how she "was the love of his life" and that he was “sorry.”

Robach told the listeners that Holmes was indeed in a “very dark space” after they made headlines in the tabloids.
Discussing Holmes' alarming texts, Robach disclosed, "You sent me a text basically saying, 'I'm sorry. You were the love of my life. I'm so sorry this has happened.' You just kept saying you were sorry but you were using past tense."
“I texted back saying, 'You're scaring me. Please tell me you're OK.' No response. I say, 'I'm calling you.' No answer."
"I didn't even realize how I was talking to you,” Holmes said of the texts.
Upon reaching his place, she discovered him "incoherent" on his bed. "I was shaking," Robach said.

"I remember going down the hall, opening the door, and I saw you ... and you were just sprawled out on your bed. I ran to you, I said 'TJ' and you didn't move.”
Robach admitted that she was “so afraid” with Holmes telling the listeners that he was "pounding vodka" and eating an unknown amount of "weed edibles.”
All this noise made Robach uncomfortable with the ‘GMA’ star later revealing that she "wanted to die" because she didn't want to see the next headline.
