WASHINGTON, DC: Podcaster Joe Rogan has expressed concern over his line of profession, as he questioned Democrats' potential threat to free speech.

During one of his episodes on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ he shared, "I don't think it turns around if Kamala Harris gets into office. I think they clamp down more. I think the same stuff that they were trying to do with Twitter, they'll try to do with something else, with other things."

Rogan was talking with former Navy SEAL and CIA contractor Shawn Ryan on censorship on social media platforms.

Interestingly, X owner Elon Musk shared the clip on his account and captioned it, "Joe Rogan is absolutely right."

Joe Rogan digs into Tim Walz's previous comments on First Amendment

Joe Rogan also emphasized that Democrats' campaign is talking about “many wild things” referring to Tim Walz's statement that the First Amendment doesn't apply to misinformation.

"There's no guarantee to free speech on misinformation or hate speech and especially around our democracy," Walz said in late 2022 in an MSNBC interview on voting issues.

"Tell the truth. Where the voting places are. Who can vote. Who's able to be there," the VP nominee added then, reported Fox News.

Rogan reacted to Walz's sentiment, "The goal of the First Amendment is, you say something wrong, and then this guy who’s an expert says the right thing," Rogan said.

"And then you correct them," he added.

Internet agrees with Joe Rogan's concern over Democrats likely to restrict free speech

Netizens supported Joe Rogan's take on free speech and how the Democrats' win would harm the right to freely express ourselves.

One person shared, "Trumps the ONLY thing in their way at this point."

"Trump supports the First Amendment. The Democrat Party is the party of war and censorship," another user said.

A person felt, "Yeah, they sound strongly opposed to the First Amendment. The Democrat Party no longer supports free speech."

"The Left has continued to show a willingness to erode some of the most fundamental principles required to maintain a democratic system that should concern all," an individual opined.

"We only have to keep Trump safe and call out the cheating and Trump will turn this around," one slamed.

Another expressed concern, "The entire Constitution is in danger if Comrade Kamala Harris or any other radical liberal is elected to the office of POTUS."

"And Rogan is right. Imagine everything you thought was a nightmare and a disaster the last 4 years x 10 if she gets installed," a user agreed.
