After leading the Indiana Fever to victory with a standout game, Clark and her teammates had a memorable meet-and-greet with Olympic stars Simone Biles and Gabby Thomas.

The star-studded encounter and Clark’s historic achievement have ignited a buzz across social media, showcasing the remarkable intersection of sports and celebrity.

Simone Biles meets Caitlin Clark after record-breaking game

On August 28, Biles, 27, attended the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Indiana Fever triumphed over the Connecticut Sun with an 84-80 victory. 

Clark, 22, delivered an impressive performance, scoring 19 points, grabbing five rebounds, and dishing out five assists. Notably, her early 3-pointer, her 86th of the season, broke the WNBA rookie 3-point record previously held by Rhyne Howard.

After the game, Clark and her teammates had the chance to meet Biles and Olympic track star Gabby Thomas, 27, who greeted them warmly with hugs and smiles.

The WNBA team shared a video of the moment across social media, captioned, “The squad was ecstatic to meet Simone Biles and Gabby Thomas after our win at @GainbridgeFH . the reactions 😂 🙌.” 

Biles, commenting on the encounter, said on camera, “They were so excited. Oh my god. It's like usually the boy will just pass and be like 'Yup.' But they were so excited, that was so cool.” 

She later posted on X, “EVERYONE WATCHES WOMENS SPORTS 🫶🏽 so happy to be able to go support! My first of many WNBA games 🤞🏽.” Thomas also shared her excitement on X, stating, “First WNBA game of many! Had so much fun supporting these stars 🙌🏾.”

Clark later took to her Instagram account to share the excitement of meeting Biles, posting a video of their encounter with the caption, "Lemme fan girl real quick."

The game also saw appearances from other celebrities, including Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson and David Letterman, according to The Indianapolis Star.
