What did Donald Trump say about John McCain?

Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s clip slamming John McCain has also surfaced again. In the video, the former president can be heard saying, “He lost. He let us down.”

He added, "But, You know, he lost. So I never liked him. As much after that because I don't like losers. He's not a war hero. Because he was captured. I like people that weren't captured.”

Trump was referring to October 1967 when McCain was flying over his 23rd bombing mission and was shot down on his A-4E Skyhawk over North Vietnam. According to reports, McCain's both arms and a leg were fractured when he ejected from the aircraft.
