‘We lost a real one today’: Tributes pour in as ‘Porky’s’ actor Tony Ganios dies at 64 following surgery
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Tony Ganios, the actor famous for his role as Anthony “Meat” Tuperello in ‘Porky’s’, died at the age of 64 on Sunday, February 18, after surgery.
He underwent the medical procedure because of a spinal infection, PEOPLE reported.
Tony Ganios’ fiancee devastated
Ganios’ fiancee, Amanda Serrano-Ganios, shared on X after the tragedy, “The last words we said to each other were 'I love you.’ Love is an understatement. You are everything to me. My heart, my soul, and my best friend. #I love you #tonyganios.”
In another tweet, she explained, “It's just unreal to me right now. It was so fast. He hadn't felt well and hid it from me for days. When he finally told me and was taken to the hospital, his spinal cord was severely infected,” before adding, “They did surgery, next morning, his heart stopped. I'm crushed.”

Following the passing of Ganios, who began his movie career with Philip Kaufman’s 1979 film ‘The Wanderers’, many expressed their condolence and paid tribute to him online.
