LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Kansas City Chiefs and four-time All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce have agreed to a two-year deal, according to NFL media's Ian Rapoport.

According to NFL Media, the 34-year-old Kelce's previous contract, which had two years and $30.25 million left on it, is replaced by this particular one. Through the 2025 season, the future Hall of Fame tight end will remain under team control, but his salary will increase by $34.25 million.

Travis Kelce agreed to a lucrative two-year deal

According to Spotrac, Kelce now has guaranteed money in 2024 ($17 million) and will average $17.125 million over the next two seasons ($17 million in 2024, $17.25 million in 2025), making him the highest-paid tight end in the league.

The deal will take Kelce through his age-36 season, setting up the possibility he will play his entire career with Kansas City.

Kelce expressed his excitement about the deal in a video posted on the Chiefs' social media, where he exclaimed, "Back out at the game, baby!"

"I can't wait to get after this next two years, but no better than right now," Kelce added.

Chiefs quarterback and three-time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes reacted to the news, saying, "I told yall I'll never let him leave!! Congrats my guy!"

In addition to 355 yards on 32 receptions with three touchdowns and 93 grabs for 984 yards and five touchdowns in 15 regular-season games in 2023, Kelce earned his big payday by helping the Chiefs win the Super Bowl twice.

He is already regarded as one of the greatest tight ends to have ever played the position, if not the greatest. He has won three Super Bowls, been selected to the First Team All-Pro four times, and is a nine-time Pro Bowler.

Kelce fielded questions this season on if it would be his last, or if retirement was on his mind. He officially shut down those rumors as he held his third Lombardi Trophy, telling the crowd and the fans at home, "I'll see y'all next year."

With Kelce and Mahomes back for another season, the Chiefs are once again among the favorites to win it all. The Chiefs took steps this offseason to lock down some important players, including signing head coach Andy Reid to a multi-year contract agreement that extends until the 2029 campaign. Additionally, team president Mark Donovan and general manager Brett Veach inked extensions.

After winning two championships in two years, Kelce and the rest of KC are looking to three-peat.
