NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Gracie Abrams left the Internet shocked on Friday, June 21, by sharing a video of Taylor Swift putting out a small fire in the kitchen of her New York City apartment using a fire extinguisher.

This came after the 24-year-old's collaboration with the 'Lover' singer, 'Us', began streaming with the release of her second album 'The Secret of Us'.

In the clip, Swift, with a fire extinguisher in her hands, is seen asking Abrams, "What do I do about this?" as she stares at a small fire on her marble countertop. Abrams quickly added, "You're going to extinguish it."

"So I cut this with a knife? I think we’re going to die," said a scared Swift as she tried to figure out how to use the extinguisher.

Abrams said, "No, we're not going to die," and advised her to "just press it."

Once the fire was out, the 'Lover' singer joked, "Our purses are ruined. And my shoes. And the whole room, I think."

I love you." Her post also included a video of them earlier in the evening working on 'Us'.

During an interview with Billboard, the 'I Miss You, I'm Sorry' singer recalled the incident, saying, "She was such a legend - I don't know how at this hour or in our state she knew what to do. We both had an insane cough from the fire extinguisher fumes for weeks."

Abrams debuted at No 1 on Billboard's Emerging Artists Chart in 2023 for her debut studio album, 'Good Riddance'. She also got the opportunity to perform as an opening act for Swift's Eras Tour throughout 2023.

The songstress was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
