Investigation and tributes following the Biffle family plane crash
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) launched investigations into the plane crash that killed Greg, his wife Cristina, and their two children. While the cause of the crash was initially unknown, authorities have now confirmed the findings.
Even before the accident, Greg had been sharing his usual holiday cheer through his "Biffmas" daily giveaway. Last week, he even posted a vlog on his YouTube channel, giving fans a peek into a recent trip with Cristina to Indianapolis.
Following the tragic news, NASCAR expressed sorrow. “Greg was more than a champion driver; he was a beloved member of the NASCAR community, a fierce competitor, and a friend to so many,” NASCAR said. “His passion for racing, his integrity, and his commitment to fans and fellow competitors alike made a lasting impact on the sport.”
Cristina’s mother also opened up about her heartbreak. “I don't remember what the last words that I said to my daughter or to Greg or to my precious Ryder. I don't remember. I know we hugged, but I don't remember those last words and that's going to haunt me. But they were happy,” she shared.
