LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans of Fifth Harmony will have to wait a bit longer to see all of them getting back together. Despite a report suggesting the possibility of new music from the group, a reunion is currently not in the works, as per Rolling Stone.

Rumors of a possible reunion first began swirling after the group’s members, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, and Camila Cabello publicly supported Normani‘s new album announcement.

Fifth Harmony is not reuniting

Page Six released a report on Friday, March 1, suggesting that Fifth Harmony was considering collaborating once again. This speculation emerged alongside a notable surge in the streaming numbers of Fifth Harmony's music over the past month.

As per the data provided by Rolling Stone, Spotify streams in the US for 'All in My Head (Flex)' featuring Fetty Wap saw a whopping 590% increase in the last month.

In addition, when Normani unveiled her album 'Dopamine' on February 21, Spotify data sourced from the portal revealed a significant spike in US streams for Fifth Harmony, nearly reaching a peak jump of 90% compared to the previous month.

Following Normani's album announcement, fans were sent into a frenzy as every other member of the group left comments on her page, sparking excitement and speculation among fans.

Prior to this, rumors about a possible reunion had already caused a storm on the internet.

After a video of Brooke seemingly suggesting a potential reunion went viral online in October of last year, she clarified that Fifth Harmony was not reuniting.

Instead, the singer of 'Gone to Bed' emphasized that she was simply reconnecting with the other girls and nurturing their friendship.

"I’m thrilled to see there’s a lot of interest surrounding Fifth Harmony,” Brooke said that time. “Reunion has many meanings and while there’s no official band reunion happening at the moment, some beautiful friendships and relationships are slowly reuniting in a healing and empowering way."

In a report last year, Rolling Stone confirmed that the partnership associated with Fifth Harmony acquired ownership of the group name's trademark. The article also specified that Cabello is not part of this Fifth Harmony partnership.

For those unfamiliar, Fifth Harmony declared an indefinite hiatus in 2018 to allow its members to pursue solo endeavors.

Internet disappointed with rumors

Following the initial buzz of rumors surrounding Fifth Harmony's potential reunion, fans were filled with excitement. However, with the subsequent debunking of these rumors, netizens have expressed their disappointment.

A user wrote on X, "Oh pop base don’t end pop crave like that." A user said something similar, "Pop crave in the mud."

Another social media user said, "It's always a shame when a beloved group decides not to reunite, but artists often pursue their own paths after going solo." A user said, "What a shame."

A user said, "Now why are they lying to us," while the next user labeled the rumor as, "Disappointing."
