'When Calls the Heart’ star Mamie Laverock in critical care after 5 stories fall from balcony

VANCOUVER, CANADA: 'When Calls the Heart’ star Mamie Laverock is fighting for her life.

The 19-year-old actress suffered from a "medical emergency" on May 11, and luckily her mother, Nicole Compton, got her in time to the hospital.

“Nicole traveled to Winnipeg to help Mamie, who was having a medical emergency. Nicole was able to get there in time to save her life. Then got her to a hospital in Winnipeg. Mamie has since been transferred to Hospital here in Vancouver,” as per her GoFundMe page.

“Her recovery is unclear at this time but she is alive and is showing signs of improvement,” it read.

Mamie Laverock fell five stories from hospital's balcony

The latest update on Laverock’s health was made on the fundraiser page recently, “We are deeply saddened to report that on May 26th, Mamie, who has been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories,” her family wrote.

“She sustained life threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support. We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time,” they added, per Page Six.

Laverock’s Hallmark co-stars also reacted to her medical condition, “I love this family, my heart is broken,” Johannah Newmarch, who plays Laverock’s on-screen mother, Molly Sullivan, wrote on X.

“A devastating time for all who care for Mamie. Please help if you can. They need all the support they can get to make it through this,” she added while sharing the GoFundMe page link.

Internet prayed for Mamie Laverock's full recovery after she fell five stories from the hospital's balcony.

One expressed, "Falls can be terrible I fell down weeks after a major stomach surgery and to be rushed to the er I stayed sore for weeks .....sorry this happened to this young beautiful actress."

"Man, 5 stories is not a short distance at all to fall from. I’m surprised she’s even alive. I sure hope her body can recover, but boy, that’s a hard one to come out of right there. 😢 I’m sure her family is just in total shock over this happening," a user weighed.
