'Seriously no women?'

The absence of women in those episodes caught the Internet's attention.

The patriarchal approach to selecting only the men did not meet well with social media users as some commented, "Okay, I love Colbert, but really? All five fave podcasts from 2023 are men?"

Another user said, "Seriously no women? Wow".

One user asked a similar question, "Cool but where are the women?"

"Stephen Tyrone Colbert! What on Earth were you thinking? NOT ONE WOMAN WAS ENTERTAINING ENOUGH TO MAKE THE TOP 5!" read a comment.

"So disappointed NOT ONE WOMAN," said a user.

Another remarked, "Where are the women, Stephen??"

The Duke of Sussex

Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex's episode was among the ones who made it to Colbert's list. He was on the show to promote his then new memoir, 'Spare'.

During the extended interview, Prince Harry discussed his personal revelations in the book, including his service in the military and his strained relationship with his brother, Prince William.

He also talked about trying to protect his family from constant attacks by the British press. In addition, Prince Harry responded to criticism of his comments about his service in the military.

The interview aired on January 10, 2023, the same day that 'Spare' was released.

In another part of the interview, Colbert presented 15 questions to reveal Prince Harry's soul to the world and Prince Harry answered questions about sandwiches, Americanism, his possessions, fears, and preferences.

Rep Adam Kinzinger

Rep Adam Kinzinger also made it to the list for the January 20, 2023 episode where he was interviewed about his new book, 'Renegade: Defending Democracy and Liberty in Our Divided Country'.

Among all the other things, Kinzinger shared his take on Donald Trump, his belief in Congress' power of oversight, even though some Republicans ignored the committee's subpoenas, emphasized the importance of investigative decisions made prior to January 6 that led to widespread belief in a stolen election, and reflected on the unique and historic nature of the committee's work and mentions the challenges of proving intent in legal proceedings.

Trevor Noah

Next in the list was Trevor Noah, the 'Daily Show' host who revealed he was hosting the Grammys for the third time on February 5.

Colbert's and Noah's conversation ranged from describing the Grammys as a "concert for everybody", experience growing up with limited exposure to music due to religious restrictions to sharing a humorous anecdote about his first "concert," which was a talent show in school where he performed Christian rap, spelling out 'Jesus' to an amused audience.

Jason Segel

Even though there wasn't any mention of least to the most liked episodes, the next in the list was Jason Segel.

Segel shared a real-life "meet cute" story on where he thought he was experiencing a romantic comedy moment. He recounted an encounter at a local ice cream shop, which he initially thought was a serendipitous meeting.

However, it turned out to be a bittersweet experience, as the encounter did not unfold as he had hoped. The story reflects a poignant and unexpected twist in his personal life, adding a touch of reality to the romanticized notion of a "meet cute".

Tom Hanks

As anticipated, Colbert's list of top 5 favorite episodes wouldn't be complete without the inclusion of Tom Hanks.

Hanks discussed his role in the film 'A Man Called Otto', which is based on the New York Times bestseller of the same name.

During the interview, Hanks shared his thoughts on playing a grumpy character and how he approached the role. He mentioned that his own son played his younger self in the film, adding a level of authenticity to the role.

Hanks also talked about his son, Truman Hanks, portraying a younger version of his father in 'A Man Called Otto'. He revealed that Truman was chosen by director Mark Forster for his uncanny resemblance.

Sometime in the interview, Colbert advised Hanks' children to be enthusiastic, competent, happy, and punctual. Humorously, Colbert suggested winging it in life and work, citing his own success.
