'Where’s the bonding': Paris Hilton faces backlash for not changing son's diaper for a month

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Paris Hilton has reportedly received backlash after she shared her fearfulness of changing her son’s diaper.

The 42-year-old socialite is a mother of two children — a son named Phoenix and a daughter named London.

As per reports, she had her son earlier this year and in November, the actress welcomed her daughter via surrogacy.

Now in a recent episode of the Peacock show, ‘Paris in Love’, it was shown that Hilton first changed her son’s nappy a month after he was born, Today.com reported.

She told her little one, “You're pooping a lot,” before asking her sister Nicky, “Should I learn how to change his diaper?” to which she replied, “Yeah.”

The singer then said, “OK ... I know I said I wouldn’t do this on my birthday, but ...I will for you. Anything for Phoenix.”

In the same episode it was shown that Hilton took Phoenix to the changing table as she remarked, “OK, I'm scared.”

Her sister then asked her, “You've never done it?” and Hilton responded by saying, “No.”

However, Nicky and a nanny were eventually successful in teaching the ‘House of Wax’ star to change a diaper.

Paris Hilton was ‘more of a tomboy’ while growing up

Later, Nicky confessed, “Growing up, Paris was definitely more of a tomboy, she liked to hang out in the backyard, build forts, and play with her pet rats.”

She added, “She wasn’t one to really talk about having a baby, but motherhood… You’ve got to get your hands a little dirty.”

However, the people online were not happy with Hilton’s way of handling her baby.

A user tweeted, “I’m not done watching #ParisinLove yet but I’m shook on how she didn’t change her baby’s diaper, I feel like “where’s the bonding”?! And carter gives me weird vibes. I thought that was just first season but nope, he’s still weird @ParisHilton.”

Another X user shared, “Ugh, I love Paris Hilton but find it so obnoxious she keeps talking about motherhood and being a mother finally, then makes a statement saying she didn't change her babies diaper for the first month - her Nannies did. I know most rich people use them, but come on don't talk about.”
