Stephen Nedoroscik's girlfriend Tess McCracken is a fellow gymnast

The pommel horse—Stephen Nedoroscik's only event—was pivotal in ending Team USA's 16-year medal drought, as they secured a bronze at the Paris Olympics.

In addition to his remarkable physical skills, fans were captivated by Nedoroscik's "Clark Kent"-like look, which featured dark-rimmed glasses that he removed before performing on the pommel horse.

To the dismay of his fans, the Olympian has been dating fellow gymnast Tess McCracken for almost a decade.

Nedoroscik attended Penn State University, where McCracken, another gymnast, competed. Their love story kicked off after they crossed paths as Nittany Lions, per The Knot.

McCracken, a native of Plano, Texas, was an expert on the uneven bars, the balancing beam, and floor exercises. McCracken has two siblings: an elder brother and a younger sister, and her bio on Penn State Gymnastics states that she majored in science.
