Footage from the Oval Office event quickly spread across social media, as viewers zeroed in on the unfamiliar woman beside Trump, and her hand resting on her stomach.

The video offered little context about her identity, leaving social media users to search for answers as the clip continued to circulate.

So, who is the viral woman from Trump's White House event?

The woman was Jayme Franklin, a former Trump administration official and conservative media entrepreneur, who was attending the signing as an advocate for parental choice on childhood vaccines.

Franklin is the founder and CEO of 'The Conservateur', a media and lifestyle brand. The platform covers politics alongside fashion, beauty, culture and traditional values.

She also hosts 'Sincerely American', a podcast that touches on politics, pop culture, social media, fashion, and beauty from a conservative perspective.

Her background, however, goes beyond conservative media.

Franklin worked in Trump's first administration as a director of correspondence and later served as a coalitions coordinator for Trump's 2020 campaign.

She has also held positions linked to the US Senate and Fox News.

Originally from Northern California, Franklin graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2020.

Why did Jayme Franklin hold her stomach

Franklin’s hand resting on her stomach became a noticeable detail in footage from the event, prompting speculation online about the gesture.

But the explanation was much more straightforward: she was pregnant.

Franklin spoke about her pregnancy while in the Oval Office, also referring to herself as a mother as she discussed the childhood vaccine issue with Trump and others present.

She was there as Trump signed an executive order seeking changes to childhood vaccine recommendations, with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr also attending.

After the event, Franklin posted about the Oval Office appearance on X, calling it an honor to join Trump for the signing and arguing that the order would give parents greater choice over decisions involving their children.

Later, Trump called the measure a “major victory for parents' rights, religious and constitutional rights, and for the gold standard science.”
