As Smith dropped the remix version of the song, the lyrics about him being cloned started getting special attention.
“They tried to clone me/Make it a body double/but I promise it won't be another/I've had enough/I ain't with the tough talk/did I st-st-stutter,” rapped Smith as he looked dapper in a red glossy coat while sitting on the passenger seat of the car.

Another fan-favorite set of verses from the song includes the ‘Aladdin’ actor’s tribute to his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
“Straight outta Philly I came out of the gutter/I still hit the city with all of my brothers/I might go to Overbrook to get me a cheesesteak/cause I got all of this bread and butter,” the song continued.
While several fans were concerned about the prospect of clone culture in the modern world, some fans dismissed the conspiracy theory, claiming that the 'Bad Boys' star was probably referencing his 2019 assassin thriller 'Gemini Man', where an older Smith fought a younger clone version of himself.
Internet divided as Will Smith raps about getting cloned in music video
The fans in the comments section of the Instagram post were divided over the "they tried to clone me" sentence in the track. While a group of fans found the speculations tantalizing enough to deserve a further dig down, another group stated the Oscar-winning star was probably referring to his 2019 movie 'Gemini Man'.
One fan wrote in the comments section of The Shade Room post, "“THEY TRIED TO CLONE ME” 👀👀," while another noted, "THANK YOU i thought it was just me , Why would he say they tried to clone him so randomly with lyrics that was about money and fam and friends at first I was like 😶."
Another online sleuth added, "You see the hand gestures when he said that too right? 👌🏽."
"I heard that too! He letting us know what they are trying to do to him. Y’all better listen to these lyrics," one person remarked.
Someone else chimed in, "We heard it, we heard it...😂 I mean, he said it loud and clear 😭."
Another social media user explained, "Because for a movie they did digitally. If you give producers permission to use your likeness and create a character, depending on your contract they can continue to use that character. They essentially did try to clone him."
"Right like a he said it so boldly and clear smh. People love to ignore the truth even when it's staring at them blank in the face," said someone else.
Meanwhile, one individual fan declared, "He probably just referencing Gemini Man 😂."
Another added, "Definitely believe he made a video back in 2019 saying something similar and how nothing is real anymore."
One person stated, "He talking about Gemini man 🤦🏾♂️yall reach for anything."
"He did a whole movie where they cloned him and he had to fight his clone…it’s word play..RELAX 🤦🏽♀️," added someone else.
One person explained, "So true. They stay telling us stuff and we think it's just 🔥 bars......15 years later the truth comes out and we all be 😲 " remember when they said...?""
