LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: William Shatner, 94, was reportedly rushed to the hospital after suffering a medical emergency at his Los Angeles home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, according to TMZ.

The outlet claimed paramedics responded to a call from the actor himself after he experienced a blood sugar issue.

Reports said he was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was stable and resting comfortably.

However, the 'Star Trek' icon’s agency denied that the actor was hospitalized, dismissing reports of a medical emergency.

William Shatner reportedly rushed to hospital over blood sugar scare

Shatner, best known for portraying Captain James T. Kirk in 'Star Trek', allegedly called emergency services after noticing abnormal blood sugar symptoms.

An LAFD ambulance arrived as a precaution, and he was taken in for evaluation. Sources told TMZ he was “good” and resting.

This reported scare comes after Shatner revealed a stage 4 melanoma diagnosis in March 2024, treated with surgery and immunotherapy.

He also lives with permanent tinnitus, which he attributed to a special effects explosion during the 1967 'Star Trek' episode 'Arena'.

TalentWorks, Shatner's agency, later issued a statement saying he was fine and that reports of his hospitalization were false, according to ABC 7.
