Along with some of the biggest names in the industry, this year's SAG Awards red carpet also saw some of the most unusual outfit selections of the season. As Hollywood's elite held sway in full force, the 30th annual SAG Awards had plenty of stylish highs and lows, with a few early arrivals putting on a very awkward show. Here's a list of 10 worst-dressed celebrities at the 2024 SAG Awards red carpet.

1. Ali Wong

In a huge gown with strings of diamond-shaped decorations flying out the sides, actress Ali Wong made a pretty perplexing impression on the red carpet, like a pigeon. Wong chose a sculpture from the label's autumn 2023 couture collection by Iris Van Herpen. The 'Beef' actress was styled by Tara Swennen, whose clients include Julie Bowen and Kristen Stewart, per WWD.

2. Maddie Ziegler

'Dance Moms' actress Maddie Ziegler, who usually makes a chic red carpet appearance, failed to wow with her worn-out cream gown. The sheer fabric strings hanging down from the clinging silhouette gave the gown the appearance of being adorned with old toilet paper. To make matters worse, the pattern was torn into several stringy pieces that gave the impression that it had been dragged through many prickly thorns before appearing on the red carpet.

3. Ariana Greenblatt

4. Kathryn Hahn

Kathryn Hahn donned a color-blocked Givenchy gown. The actress—who was nominated for 'Tiny Beautiful Things' in Female Actor in a TV movie or Miniseries category—wore an off-the-shoulder black neckline on a white base. Hahn accessorized her ensemble with a pair of similar sheer pointed-toe ballet flats and sheer black opera gloves.

5. Melissa McCarthy

The usually elegant Melissa McCarthy appeared to have wrapped herself in tinfoil instead of searching for a fitting dress when she appeared on the red carpet wearing a silver dress with huge, sagging arms that caught everyone's attention in the worst way.

6. Rachel Brosnahan

The 'Marvelous Mrs Maisel' star, Rachel Brosnahan, made another metallic faux pas with her golden gown, fashioned like a bell, creating an uncomfortable optical illusion. To make matters worse, the TV star appeared to be an angel that could be placed atop a Christmas tree, or possibly a church bell due to the layered skirt of the gold gown. The gown's pleated skirt cast shadows across it in response to the flashing lights, which probably baffled more than one witness.

7. Laverne Cox

Laverne Cox made a fashion faux pas as she wore a bra-baring outfit that she paired with a cropped jacket in the military style and a long black velvet skirt. She added a very gothic touch to the outfit with a thick beaded choker around her neck. Cox showed up donning a bespoke Morgan Foote skirt, a Bao Tranchi bodysuit, and a vintage Alexander McQueen jacket. She added an antique Christian Dior necklace and bespoke Garo Sparo gloves to complete the all-black ensemble.

8. Danielle Brooks

The 'Orange Is the New Black' actress had on a very strange split-style outfit with a crisp suit on one side and a huge ruffled purple-and-black skirt on the other. The asymmetrical, spliced dress had a square collar and a black sheath that hung down to reveal her toned legs.

9. Chris Perfetti

'Abbott Elementary' star Chris Perfetti wore a brown tuxedo with bootcut trousers that resembled something a sartorial-challenged teen would have worn to their high school event in the 1980s. Thankfully, he opted not to wear a ruffled shirt.

10. Colman Domingo

Colman Domingo—nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a leading role for 'Rustin'—tried hard to maintain his impeccable style streak by dressing in a black button-down shirt and a pale pink suit with black stripes, but the ensemble was far from impressive.
