HOUSTON, TEXAS: The Internet seemed to take offense at Forrie J Smith, who plays Lloyd Pierce in 'Yellowstone', after the actor claimed that he was allegedly booted off a plane after refusing to sit next to a masked passenger on Saturday, March 23.
The 65-year-old—who is also a supporter of the anti-vax movement—was left stuck in an airport in Houston, Texas, when he decided to share his experience on Instagram with his 508,000 followers, as per Daily Mail.
Forrie J Smith alleged left stranded in a Houston after being 'kicked off a plane'
Smith claimed that he was removed from the plane on the grounds that he was intoxicated, but he was actually taken out of the aircraft by staff when he expressed his displeasure at having to sit close to the person wearing a mask.
He described the encounter in an Instagram video with the caption: "You need to hear this story," alongside the hashtags #cowboy #country #western #yellowstone #yellowstonetv.
"You know, my social media people tell me that you like me face-to-face, but you know what, I can't say face-to-face what I want. Like, I just got kicked off a plane," began the 'Yellowstone' actor.
He exclaimed, "Where the hell am I at?" not knowing which airport he was in. Off-camera, a woman responded to Houston. The actor repeated, "Houston, Texas," and went on to say that he was made to leave the airplane "because I didn't feel comfortable sitting next to somebody with a mask on."
He did not specify which airline he was trying to fly with.

The Oak & Eden Whiskey partner admitted, appearing to be a little slurred in his speech, "Ya, I’ve been drinking. I’ve been sitting in an airport for three hours. Ya I’m drinking. I ain’t drunk, but they throw me off the plane because I’m drunk, because you people won’t stand up and tell everybody what bulls**t this is."
"I just told them I didn’t feel comfortable about sitting next to somebody that had to wear a mask, and I’m off the plane," said Smith, concluding his rant.
Fox News Digital reached out to Smith's agents for comment, but they did not get back to them right away.
Netizens slam Forrie J Smith for being 'scared of a mask'
Viewers of the video were not very sympathetic to the actor's attitude against the mask, with Instagram users flocking to the comment section to slam Smith.
One said, "I bet the masked person was grateful to see you get the boot," while another added, "You’re such a crybaby. You’re threatened by a mask? Get a life."
A person chimed in, "I love the tough guy act while also saying the sissiest thing I’ve heard in a long time. Scared of a mask. Haha."
"You may not be falling down drunk but you’re definitely under the influence. That’s what got you booted. Man up and admit alcohol made you run your mouth and now you’re paying the price," seethed someone else.
An individual pointed out, "Nobody was making you wear the mask so what the F is the problem. You made a stink about it after drinking and they threw you off the plane. Good for them."
One more remarked, "Sometimes it better to just admit you were wrong than trying to double down on your mistake and get a mob behind you on social media to gather behind you in your bad choice. Just admit you were wrong and learn from it."
Forrie J Smith had to miss the 2022 SAG Awards for not getting the COVID-19 vaccine
Smith had to skip the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards because of stringent regulations requiring attendees to be vaccinated.
He expressed regret to his Instagram followers in a since-deleted video at the time for being "not vaccinated, and it's a requirement to be vaccinated."
"I'm not vaccinated, I will not get vaccinated," said Smith, at the time, adding, "I haven't been vaccinated since I was a little kid. I don't vaccinate my dogs, I don't vaccinate my horses. I've never had a flu shot. I never will. I believe they compromise your immunities."
The Centers for Disease Control have recommended wearing masks when utilizing public transit, including airplanes because of the risk of respiratory viruses like RSV, COVID-19, and influenza.
