WASHINGTON, DC: After Hollywood actor Robert De Niro referred to former President Donald Trump as a 'psychopath' who aspires to be a dictator like Vladimir Putin, the former President gave his reaction to the actor.

Notably, during his most recent appearance on 'Real Time with Bill Maher,' De Niro referred to Trump as a 'total monster' and 'a mean, nasty, hateful person.'

In addition, De Niro declared that Trump is a 'sociopathic, psychopathic, malignant narcissist and dangerous', and desirous of taking over the country. He also claimed that the former president would take Maher's program off the air and pursue De Niro.

He added, "If he wins the election... You won’t be on this show anymore. He’ll come looking for me. There’ll be things that happen that none of us can imagine."

Trump gave his 6.6 million followers a brief reaction on Truth Social in response to the outburst from the Hollywood star. Trump wrote, "Robert DeNiro has a terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Such a stupid sounding guy, a low IQ individual!"



 

During the interview, De Niro said, "They want to f**k with people, screw them because they’re unhappy about some. He’s such a mean, nasty, hateful person."

He added, "I’d never play him as an actor because he’s— I can’t see any good in him. Nothing. Nothing at all. Nothing redeemable in him," he continued, telling Maher that the former president "can't be elected again."

Internet stays divided as Donald Trump takes a jibe at Robert De Niro

People on the internet had mixed reactions as former President Donald Trump called Hollywood star Robert De Niro 'a low IQ individual.'

A user on X wrote, "You are so sensitive. You don’t have the patience and competency to be a leader," while one added, "He’s brilliant. He’s the best actor of a generation. He would never play you because he can find “nothing good in you."



 



 

A user also stated, "Why are all the celebrities so afraid of Trump?" while one mentioned, "#DeNiro is a pathetic moron!" A person also posted, "DeNiro doesn't owe a half a billion dollars in judgments and isn't facing 91 felony charges. That makes him smarter and a better person than you."
