‘You better be very careful,’ Trump cautions Netanyahu amid Iran standoff
WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump reportedly warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against escalating military action against Iran, cautioning that Israel could find itself isolated if the conflict intensifies.
According to Israel's Channel 12, Trump told Netanyahu: "You better be very careful with what you do because you might soon be left alone against Iran."
The reported warning came after both Israel and Iran said they had halted military attacks, raising hopes that a fragile ceasefire could hold following days of missile exchanges.
Iran International also reported that Israel had approved a "dramatic attack" against Iran before Trump called it off, also citing a report from Channel 12.
Netanyahu vows continued pressure on Iran, Hezbollah
Hours after Iran announced that it had suspended attacks on Israel, which were carried out in retaliation for Tel Aviv’s assault on Lebanon, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted that the "struggle" with Iran and Hezbollah was “not over yet.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video statement Monday, June 8, that "in the past 24 hours, Iran and Hezbollah have tried to impose a new equation on us. And this equation is intolerable and unacceptable."
"Iran and Hezbollah are weaker than ever, and we are stronger than ever -- but our struggle with them is not over yet," Netanyahu added.
Netanyahu asserted that Israel “contained” hostilities against Iran because strikes on Israel from Iran stopped after Israel struck Iran.
"Israel has a full right to self-defense, and we exercise it to the extent necessary. I say this to you, as I say it with appreciation and respect in my good conversations with my friend President Trump," Netanyahu said.
Earlier on Monday, an Israeli military official told ABC News that they were preparing for ‘several days’ of strikes or “as long as it will take” amid new direct exchanges between Israel and Iran that resumed on Sunday.
Trump holds two calls with Netanyahu
President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone in two separate calls, once on Sunday.
Once on Monday, after Israel and Iran exchanged strikes over the weekend, a White House official and an Israeli source familiar with the matter said.
