LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent episode of 'The Joe Rogan Experience,' the popular podcaster Joe Rogan shared his evolving political stance, transitioning from a left-leaning perspective to a critic of what he perceives as "leftist lunacy."

Rogan expressed concerns about various issues, including controversial medical practices, criminal justice policies, and the perceived direction of California.

Rogan, who once identified as a left-leaning individual, highlighted his disillusionment with the left, particularly citing what he views as extreme positions on social issues.

People on the left these days "are so far away" from where they used to be, Rogan told Bobby Lee.

“You’re out of your mind. You’re f***ing chopping d***s off and giving little kids hormone blockers. You have no idea what the long-term consequences are. You’re ignoring the health risks,” Rogan criticized, adding that the left is also guilty of other evil machinations, such as “letting violent criminals out of jail” while “defunding the police.”

This wasn't always the case for the podcaster.

“I was 100% a left-leaning person who lived in Los Angeles. I never voted Republican my whole life, [and] I was very left-leaning, especially with any social issues,” he explained, but that all changed when “California went nuts” and became essentially “fully communist.”

Things like “no cash bail,” “letting people out [of jail] after committing violent crimes,” and “not stopping people for stealing” were a few things that soured Rogan toward the state, which he says is too stuck in its “peace, love, and granola (and wear a mask)” ways to ever make a real change.

“I’m in the middle,” he confessed to Bobby Lee, who agreed.

Rogan highlighted his discontent with what he perceives as a cult-like mentality among liberals. He criticized the tendency to ostracize or shame those with differing opinions, characterizing it as a form of groupthink.

Liberals “are in a cult,” Rogan explained. It’s why anyone who questions their agenda is “excommunicated,” “treated like a Nazi,” or at a bare minimum, “shamed for having different opinions than the group.”

The discussion raises questions about whether Rogan, who refrained from voting for Trump in 2020, might consider a different stance in the future.

Internet reacts to Joe Rogan's political stance

Joe Rogan's recent shift in political stance, from left-leaning to a critic of what he perceives as "leftist lunacy," has left the internet abuzz with diverse reactions.

One user expressed the sentiment of irreversible realization, stating, "Once you see it. You can't unsee it." This captures the idea that Rogan's commentary may have unveiled a perspective that has resonated with some individuals, leading to a permanent shift in perception.

However, not all reactions were supportive. Another user wrote, "Joe is the guy who takes the rescued baby from the arms of the exhausted hero firefighter and then parades it in front of the news cameras."

Criticism was also directed at Rogan's previous support for Bernie Sanders without questioning the Democratic Party saying, "Joe spent his time backing Bernie and never once’s questioned nothing about that party. He’s like everyone who basically turned a blind eye."
