LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Megan Thee Stallion, the artist behind the hit 'Big Ole Freak', has recently found herself in the sights of internet trolls for her criticism of Spotify and its users.

This has ignited a backlash, with detractors saying the 28-year-old rapper is "Mad cuz her numbers are low."

Stallion's video surfaced on the X (formally Twitter) after Ariana Grande's significant impact on the music scene, which has left her fans, known as Arianators, and Taylor Swift's fans, ecstatic as she reportedly surpassed the milestone of 90 million streams on Spotify.

Also, Swifties celebrated as the pop icon outpaced Beyonce and Rihanna, securing her position as the 5th most influential woman in the world according to Forbes' annual ranking.

What did Megan Thee Stallion say about Spotify?

Pop Base, a platform for entertainment and news, recently shared a video on X featuring the 'Savage' hitmaker.

In the video, she comments on Spotify users while donning a mixed print bodysuit in shades of red and green.

In the conversation, someone, seemingly a friend, was heard questioning Stallion about Spotify.

The rapper promptly responded with a seemingly disgusted facial expression, taking a brief pause before retorting, "B*tch, Spotify?… I feel like if you’re 15 you have Spotify."

Stallion is known to have enjoyed a prosperous music career, boasting numerous hit tracks.

In 2018, she inked a deal with 300 Entertainment and experienced her mainstream breakthrough subsequent year with the launch of her singles.

According to Billboard, some of her chart-topping songs include: 'Captain Hook', 'All Dat', 'Big Ole Freak' and 'NASTY'. Her latest songs include 'Bongos' released in 2023 and 'Cobra' which has an official video on YouTube.

In June 2022, Megan News, a page on X, reported that an American rapper secured the #3 spot on Spotify, boasting 32.04 million monthly listeners.

The Spotify website presently indicates a global ranking of "#243", along with a following of 8,308,992 and a monthly listener count of 23,586,218.
