Zac Brown granted restraining order from Kelly Yazdi after she breached their confidentiality agreement

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Zac Brown filed a lawsuit against his estranged wife, Kelly Yazdi, on Friday, May 17, and has been granted a temporary restraining order against her.

The country star claimed that one of the Iranian-American actress' Instagram posts violated a confidentiality agreement she had signed with him, as per legal documents, according to ET.

Brown and Yazdi, who got engaged in Hawaii in 2022, secretly tied the knot in Coweta County, Georgia, on August 31, 2023.

In December 2023, the estranged couple posted a joint statement announcing their separation and that they are "in the process of divorce."

"Our mutual respect for one another remains. We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together. As we navigate this personal matter, we simply request privacy during this time," they added.

Speculation surrounding their separation began after netizens noticed Yazdi deactivated her Instagram account and removed the last name Brown from her bio after she reactivated the account.

She also deleted Brown's picture from her profile and unfollowed him on social media.

Zac Brown sued Kelly Yazdi over Instagram post

In his lawsuit, Brown sought emergency injunctive relief in the form of a temporary restraining order that would force Yazdi to remove the Instagram post.

While the specific Instagram post that led to the restraining order is not specified in the documents, several of Yazdi's recent posts have focused on personal growth and self-empowerment.

In a recent Instagram video of the actress standing in the rain, she wrote, "My sunshine grows stronger every day, brought back to life by the support and encouragement of so many who have battled the same monster, sharing horror stories of their own, finally harnessing the courage to stand up."

In another video of herself walking into a pool posted on May 4, Yazdi's caption discussed coming out of an abusive relationship.

"Projections. Gaslighting. Threatening. Stonewalling. Those are the ingredients of narcissistic abuse," read the caption.

"That 'love' is conditional. 'Love' disguised as compromise when in reality, it was control," she wrote.

"It nearly destroyed her… his betrayal forced her down a road through hell and brutal heartbreak, and the terrifying reality of narcissistic abuse… the scary truth that patiently waited to unmask itself only after vows were made," Yazdi added.

Split from Yazdi marks Brown's second divorce. In 2018, the singer ended his 12-year marriage to Shelly Sloan with whom he shares five children.
