Zach Bryan admits he 'failed people that love' him as he confirms breakup with GF Brianna LaPaglia

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Country music star Zach Bryan, 28, has confirmed that he and his girlfriend, Brianna 'Chickenfry' LaPaglia, have ended their relationship.

The news was shared by Bryan in a heartfelt message on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, October 22. However, in her post, LaPaglia said she was "blindsided" by the revelation.

In his Instagram stories post, Zach Bryan openly addressed the split, expressing both love and respect for Brianna LaPaglia.

“Addressing something: Brianna and me have broken up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart,” he wrote.

He added, “She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I’ll always thank her.”

Bryan also shared that he has been facing personal struggles throughout the year, saying, “I’ve had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things."

"I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go out different ways. I am not perfect and never will be," he wrote further.

He went on to ask for privacy for both himself and LaPaglia, writing, “And if you have it in your heart, mine too.”

He ended his message with an apology, “With everything I am and to anyone I let down, I am sorry. I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself.”

Brianna LaPaglia says she feels ‘blindsided’ by breakup

Brianna 'Chickenfry' LaPaglia, 25, responded to the breakup in her own Instagram Stories, sharing her feelings of shock.

“Hey guys I’m feeling really blindsided right now. Gonna hop off social media for a while and attempt to heal privately,” she wrote, indicating that she plans to take time away from the public eye to process the situation.

LaPaglia also thanked her fans for their support, writing, “I love you guys so much thank you for all of your kind words."

"Remember you are so loved and everything’s always gonna be Okay,” she ended her message with stress on her need for privacy navigating this difficult time.

What triggered Zach Bryan and Brianna 'Chickenfry' LaPaglia's breakup? 

Just a day before Zach Bryan confirmed the breakup, Brianna LaPaglia had already sparked rumors with a cryptic post on Instagram.

The post featured a yellow notebook page with a handwritten message, reports People. 

“And eventually you'll find that life goes on, even if you don't want it to,” the message began, suggesting a sense of moving forward despite difficulties.

The note continued, “The days will pass and the world will move while you ask it to stop... The world keeps on spinning in hopes of showing you that you can as well,” hinting at LaPaglia’s efforts to cope with the end of the relationship.

The couple first met at the Academy of Country Music Awards in May 2023. LaPaglia made their relationship official shortly after on her 'Plan Bri Uncut' podcast.

Their one-year anniversary was celebrated in July 2023, with Bryan posting, “Here’s to a year together. Happy anniversary and I love you so much Brianna... Proud to call you my girl.”
