Zayn Malik's heartfelt tribute to Liam Payne

Zayn Malik, who left the boy band One Direction in 2015 before its hiatus in 2016, took to Instagram to express his deep sense of loss following the death of Liam Payne.

"I never got to thank you for supporting me through some of the most difficult times in my life," Malik wrote.

Describing Payne as “headstrong” and “opinionated,” Zayn praised the late singer's professionalism and dedication to the band’s music.

"When it came to the music, Liam, you were the most qualified in every sense. I was a novice child with no experience and you were already a professional," he continued.

"I was always happy to know, no matter what happened on stage we could always rely on you to know which way to steer the ship next," the 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever' singer added.
