Zoe Kravitz's dad Lenny worries she 'can't handle the pressure' as actress rushes to marry Channing Tatum
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After two years of dating, Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz, star of 'Big Little Lies', are reportedly ready to race to the altar. However, insiders believe the couple still needs to win over her rockstar dad Lenny Kravitz.
According to reports, the protective father worries that his daughter might break under the strain of marrying the well-known actor.
Lenny worries Zoe Kravitz can't handle Channing Tatum's fame
According to sources, Lenny, 59, is concerned that his divorced daughter Zoe, 34, whose mother is former 'Cosby Show' child Lisa Bonet, will make a mistake by marrying Channing, 43, considering she couldn't "handle the pressure" of being married to little-known film star ex-husband Karl Glusman, as reported by Radar Online.
"Marrying one of the most famous actors in the world is going to increase that pressure times 1000," the tipster noted.
Zoe Kravitz was married to Karl Glusman
Early in 2021, the 'Batman' beauty called it quits after an 18-month marriage to the 35-year-old Glusman. A few months later, she started dating her current partner.
"Lenny likes Channing just fine — but he tells Zoe they should just continue shacking up rather than her jumping into another marriage," the insider claimed.
Still, the pal dished the 'High Fidelity' star is supposedly telling her father she has found the perfect man. If they get married, Zoe will be stepmother to Everly, Channing's 10-year-old daughter with his first wife Jenna Dewan.
Zoe Kravitz wants to 'settle down and have children'
"Zoe wants to really settle down and have children, and she figures after two years she knows what she has in Channing," the source continued.
"As far as being in the spotlight, she's learned how to deal," the insider added. "She knows her father wants the best for her, but she has to follow her heart — and that's to Channing."
While there were rumors that the couple was engaged last month, Channing has previously acknowledged that he didn't think he would ever get married again.
'The 21 Jump Street' star admitted he was still affected by his divorce. "Relationships are hard for me. I end up trying too hard, you know," Channing said.
