‘1000-lb Sisters’ star Amy Slaton gets engaged to BF Brian Lovvorn: 'Our marriage will last an eternity'
HENDERSON, KENTUCKY: TLC’s Amy Slaton will get married soon as she got engaged to boyfriend Brian Scott Lovvorn following five months of dating.
She revealed about her winter 2024 engagement during the Tuesday, May 13 episode of ‘1000-lb Sisters’, as reported by PEOPLE. The proposal happened inside the padded room of Henderson Haunts' haunted house in Henderson.
Slaton shared, “Originally, he slipped a green apple Ring Pop on my finger while I was asleep, about two weeks into our relationship. I was shocked at first, and I said yes but only if the real proposal was in a haunted house on Halloween.”

Her boyfriend then went on to fulfill her wish and that too not only with an unusual proposal location but also with a silver band, featuring two skeleton hands making a heart.
The 37-year-old spilled to PEOPLE, “He said something about, 'My love for you is crazy, it's scary how compatible we are.’ Just like [how] our matching tattoos say, 'Scary love.’”
But the TV personality’s elder sister Tammy was concerned. “She really felt like we were rushing it,” she stated.

Slaton, however, is feeling positive and is already planning a “small, quaint” wedding with Lovvorn.
They both have "always wanted to get married on Halloween," but are "still figuring out the wedding party situation," and "need to find a venue, dress, flowers, pretty much everything!" PEOPLE reported.
Slaton asserted that she will “be able to call him my husband and get to spend the rest of my life with him. Our engagement life may be short, but our marriage will last an eternity!”

Regarding her special day outfit, the mother-of-two, who shares sons Gage, 4, and Glenn, 2, with ex-husband Michael Halterman, divulged, “My vision for the dress is white with black lines, a corset with a princess poof.”
Slaton was married to Halterman from 2019 to 2023.
“Brian wants me to have pink hair for the wedding, and I want to have a Victorian style updo,” she noted.
Regarding her fiance’s bond with her children, she said, “They just took to him naturally, he just fit perfectly in our family. He fits perfectly in the life I've always wanted.”
“He's so patient and understanding and really has a heart of gold. He promised me 55 years; he'll be 106 when he dies!” Slaton added.
